Alpha Of One Fate | Chapter 3 - My Dear Luna

My Dear Luna Light and faint colors blew past Worgen as his ship flew through space at warp speed. Henki, the Ghost's given name. hummed along to an old Earth tune Worgen had playing in the background. As he sat in the cockpit of his black and yellow vessel, his hands softly passed over a small panel to his left. Tapping a key on the glass screen, a small map of the solar system expanded. The brightness of the hologram was emphasized by the dimness Worgen found himself in. An small model of Venus was highlighted before being crossed off. Similar to a method of checking a name off a list. The Hunter had been on the planet for the past five days. Reluctant to reveal why he did this Worgen had not even told Henki what the purpose of their stay was. The only information he had given him was to look for a structure with specific requirements. Though his main reason for being on the planet had been fruitless it did not mean all was lost. In the process he had received a sudden order which resulted in a lovely reward. One already in hand and one expected to be awaiting his return to the tower. "You know Henki." Worgen's voice broke the rhythm of old earth music. "I never was one for philosophy. Normally it is something for the Consensus to debate about. Or a word for Warlocks to use to disguise their thoughts from the world. However in the past few weeks I have been finding myself inclining to seek a deeper form of thought. Is this perhaps a turn from the norm of dogmatic thinking I follow?" The Ghost blinked it's large eye before making a surprised sound. "It is a shock to hear those kinds of words being used by you. Should I escort you to see a physician? A technician? Perhaps a priest?" It joked with Worgen before moving as thought it were a shaking head atop a formless body. "Perhaps you are just, you know, starting think. It isn't such a bad thing." Worgen looked at Henki, taking off his helmet and looking at the small robot with his white eyes. An expression formed on his metallic face showing great disapproval. "So you think I am stupid or just incapable of thought? Pretty sure I was about think before you were even brought into existence." As if to try and add to his argument Worgen pushed his partner with a single finger. Henki then returned the action by ramming the red plate ornamenting the Exo's forehead. With a dull clunk sound, the booth of them shared a moment of amusment before leaving warp speed. As he looked forward to the blue and green planet before him, the Guardian looked to the silver satellite. Large and scared, the Moon was once a beautiful thing. This is all from what he heard. With a deep sigh, Worgen began anew with a more somber voice. "I remember when you found me down there on that white rock. That day you woke me up from that centuries-long slumber in the old colony base. I'm rather surprised you managed to find me under all that dust and debris." "You make is sound so much simpler than it really was." Henkisaid as their ship decelerated while passing the Moon. "You have no idea how many Fallen I had to sneak past just to get into that run down outpost. There were around three Skiffs just flying over head and cruising around. I can only move so fast and far before I needed to find a Guardian. But you fit the role well enough." Worgen barked a hard laugh immediately when his Ghost mocked him. "Are you forgetting who actually had to fight his way through all those Fallen? And with only a knife, stealth, and improved weaponry! By which I mean every other Fallen pistol I picked up on the way. Not to mention the only reason we survived was thanks to that beacon we found near the Ocean of Storms. Yeah that was me." As the two now sat in silence while passing Earth's Moon. The crib of his rebirth left his sight Worgen took one last look at it. A feeling began to form inside him.Was is his mind or soul? Perhaps all of his psyche. He fully muted the music in the background before saying, "If there is one thing I know to be true, its that I will reclaim my dear Luna one day. Even if it costs me my Light and Soul." Alpha of One Fate Appendix
