Let's Make Our Own Raid

After writing a raid and getting lots of positive comments I want to hear your ideas for game mechanics and encounters etc. It doesn't have to be an entire raid, but one encounter would be fine. Put on your imagination caps and let's hear em!     The Final Push Description/Background Info: This is it Guardians, The moment we have dreaded for years now. [b]The Traveler is dead, and the Darkness now lays at the very steps of the city. Meet me at the Speakers Office, we must prepare for anything. [/b] Raid Beginning: The Raid begins with players spawning on the Tower, the skyline turning darker the more they look, People are running and screaming and the skylines are filled with ships attempting to flee, you run to the Speakers Office. Upon arrival you recieve word that [b]the Cryptarchs and the Speaker have found a way to revive the traveler, with an ancient relic found deep within the City[/b]. A distant noise grows, and you head back to the courtyard to find a massive fleet of ships of all factions, somehow working together. With no time to react, the Tower suddenly explodes from a barrage of missiles, you watch the Walls collapse. With no time to think you pull out your Sparrow and ride down the destroyed Tower to the City, entering the forgotten underground bunker to find the relic. Entering the Bunker you find the Fallen, who have managed to drill underground and prepare a surpise attack, kill their Kell and proceed further. [b]In the center of the Bunker lays three relics, a sword for the Hunter, a shield for the Titan, and an orb for a warlock, the three pieces of the travelers light forever hidden beneath our feet[/b]. But the fallen are quick to respond and swarm the area, only the combined powers of the relic can defeat them. You then head forward, fighting waves of the unknown fallen house to the surface. You emerge to find tour time is short, the city is in flame and the forces of the Darkness roam the street, fight your way to the Traveler, in hopes you can save what is left. The relic-carriers will face the most enemy fire, but hold the most strength. Upon reaching the Traveler, the three relics must be combined to reunite the light the Traveler hid many years ago. [b]Upon its revival, the Traveler is corrupted by a virus created by the Vex, and a spawn of the Darkness forms, controlling two of the relics. [/b]Players must break apart the abomination to regain the relics and reactivate the light within the Traveler by defeating the Corrupted Light. Once defeated, the Traveler reawakens, and the Darkness ships and troops fall dead.

          • One game, I had had some fish tacos for lunch, the spicy kind. I was 3 minutes into a Control game, and I started to need to shit. You know, the hot internal sphincter burn, that just screams get it out. I was sure I could unleash a fart and relieve some pressure, but when I eased into it, I explosively shat myself. My ass released a roar more deafening than the sound of my Last Word. My fireteam heard the noise and asked what was up. I silently finished the game, marinading in my own shit. I clutched it for the team.

            • [b]Let's make an ultimate Raid Idea Topic for Bungie to see and draw inspiration from[/b] Hello fellow guardians, Here are my own idea's.... I made a drawing (very basic I know...) that hopefully would explain a lot of things. So the idea is that each guardian starts in another area of the raid and towards the end they all come together in one room where they fight the boss. They can not see each other. Only communicate. Maybe the starting area is something where each guardian should hold open a plate in each room and when that happens, all doors to the next room open up so each guardian can go forward in the raid. You don't even have to make every room the same objective. Maybe guardian 1 needs to hold open a plate, guardian 2 needs to hold of enemy forces, guardian 3 needs to parcour a certain route in time, guardian 4 is in a tank blasting of enemy ships before they can enter land...you name it.... While beginning the raid, you don't actually now wich area and objective you're gonna land in wich also helps for unpredictability in clearing the raid. When each guardian reached their objective, they can then all enter on a plate simultaneously or something else that will grant acces to the next area where they will be teamed up with another guardian so its 3 teams of 2 now, instead of 6 individuals. Now its 2, 2 , 2 with each their own objectives and coöperation between other guardians over different area's, just like the Atheon section where one team goes outside and the other team stays inside. And so the raid continues untill it's 3 v 3, then maybe let them all split up again to 6 indivuduals again and just before the final encounter they all enter the room at the same time. Let them glimps at each other for the first time all toghter as a team before they get seperated again to go and destroy the boss to claim victory over the raid in one epic battle where each guardian has their own objective. For the bosses: make them more versatile. Something like, the bosses shields will change over time from void to arc to solar to kinetic. Maybe a set change or one that's random so you never know what kind of shield the boss will have, so your team must be set up in a kind of way that each damage type is foreseen. Than add that up with mobs coming every direction and the jumping ability will decrease over time, while the boss opens up ground with flames or stuff like that so the longer the battle continuous the less room you have for mobility. Maybe make the battle more vertical, like the things i just said like floor opening up will happen on ground. Up higher on Level 1 will be where all the mobs will be coming, even higher will be enemy drop ships shooting at you that you need do hold off so less enemy's can enter. Another guardian can use a shield to shoot down to the cracks on the floor so they can close again.... I don't know, spice it all up in one big coördinated battle (Colloseum style?) Or maybe before each guardian enters the final room they don't know untill they're inside what their objective will be in the boss battle. Will they be the one on the floor? The one holding of enemy ships? The one killing trashmobs? The one using shields...? I don't know....just adding my 2 cents. [b]If anyone else has idea's, jus trow them all in one big topic for Bungie to see and draw inspiration from. [/b] Guardian out.

                              Name: [b][i][u]VEX VIRUS[/u][/i][/b] Our worst fear has come true. [b]The Vex[/b] have corrupted our city with a radiological disease. Our Citizens are joining the vex and fighting us. Come meet me in Tower North. You speak to the Stranger in the Tower. "The Vex have launched their disease they have working on for millennia." You unlock a new planet called Eclipto. It's a dusty cracked planet with holes that spurt lava if you walk over them. This is where the first Vex came from. You have to go underground to a vex base. The first bit is three sink plates that once your done it summons three ultra Minotaurs as big as Crota. They have a cyclops boomer that kills you in one shot. They are named:Pedigro,the past. Halshore,the present. Tartheon,the future. They have spikes on their shoulders and their eye is the weak spot. Once you have killed them,you go through three waves of hobgoblins and Minotaurs. Once you have done that you go to a exotic chest. You move to the boss fight.One person grabs a relic. The boss is a huge Minotaurs crossed with a Cyclops. He has spiked shoulders,a cyclops eye, a glowing purple shield that you break down with the Relic and then you shoot him. His name is Kartite,The Eraser Of Time.You get the cure then a cutscene that fast-forwards to earth and you inject in everyone.
