Good or Bad? It can go both ways.... I don't like the "No Land Beyond" sniper exotic. It's a pointless primary with little to no ammo in reserve and has to reload after each shot. I fully upgraded it to see what it would be like in both Crucible and PvE. Here's what I got from using it when it first dropped..... At first look, it looks like a nice throwback to something you would use in the Revolutionary War in the late 1700s. Precisely. It's not the most fancy of all snipers, but you could say it's still elegant and simple for the less flashy and glamorous guardians. What got me to purchase it was because it was an exotic that no one seemed to enjoy. Plus, it was a primary SNIPER, and I'm a sniper tank in the Crucible. So I wanted to show them that EVERY weapon can be deadly if used properly. It was a cheap buy out of the many items you could buy from Xur from each week, which can say a lot about the weapon. (I believe it was 17 Strange Coins at the time compared to Ice Breakers 23.) The first thing that bugged me from the start was the reload cycle after each shot taken. It takes an average 1.5-2 seconds or so to reload and fire again. I found that if you take a shot, run for a brief millisecond, you can then fire immediately again without reload. After getting past that, the upgrades were another problem..... In the pic, you can tell the upgrades aren't that great. So, to make it a deadly weapon in both Crucible and PvE, when Upgrades are available, equip the Accurized Ballistics (Increases Range to MAX, Loses some Stability), Flared Magwell (Increase Reload to MAX), and all other permanent upgrades. The stability doesn't matter with this weapon since it's a single shot per reload. Plus, snapshot is useless because of iron sights on this gun. No point in aiming faster when using iron sights on ANY weopon. Who has EVER used a sniper with iron sights in Call of Duty? It's pretty much UNSTOPPABLE! Yes? Look at "The Legend Himself" who completed the CE Raid with this sniper SOLO! It's a skilled player with a skill-worthy weapon. Well you luck out with this one in Crucible. With some practice in PvE, you can annihilate Guardians in the Crucible with tons and tons of headshots! I've come to liking this sniper because of the headshot kills it can get, even on accident. No scoping and aiming down sights has never been easier! It has the longest base range of any sniper in the game, but lacks the scope to aim across the map for some serious kills. This is more of a small to medium size map weapon. Once you get the hang of using it, you can dominate the competition. But, you no one plays with it enough to get good with it. Everyone should know that every weapon is different, so you need to practice to get good with all weapons! This one just takes longer than the rest! Finally... The Review Score! I would give this sniper a 7 out of 10. It's the kind of weapon that needs to be buffed a bit more to get to an 8. For it to be a 9, it needs to go back to the secondary slot. It IS a sniper after all, but I don't want to have 2 snipers in a game. I'm not a shotties or Fusion Rifle kind of guy, unless that is your play style I'm not arguing. For it to be a 10, it needs to have the reload after each shot faster if you increase the weapons mag reload. That's why I increase the reload to max for that reason. But the reload after each shot doesn't increase. What do you think? Have you even tried using it? Many people have purchased it, majority have either left it in the vault or broken it down for the exotic shard. But the few that have stuck with it are the most deadly players you'd face in the Crucible. Go check out "The Legend Himself" on youtube to see what I mean. He is by far the best player that I've seen using that weapon. Let me know what think about the No Land Beyond. It isn't the best weapon in the game, but ONLY can become deadly if you are skilled enough to use it.
