Report: a third of American millennials are non-religious

To be honest, I'm surprised the number isn't higher. I'm pretty sure a significant majority of British millennials are non-religious, but then again, America is known to be more religious anyway. Thoughts and opinions?

  • It may be fair to take into account that in the American Christian landscape--that is, post-Evangelical low-church Evangelicals--many religious people don't consider their religion a religion and will hide behind statements like "it's not a religion but a relationship" and the like. I'd like to see more info about how the study was done and in particular stats about those who identified as having no religion.
