The reason why guys play as girls
It has been noted that a high proportion of guys play as girls in games. But girls also generally play as girls in the same games. Why is this?
Its simple.
Girls are more pleasant to look at.
Guys fancy girls and girls fancy themselves.

28 RepliesSigh, no you.... Look here's the thing, there are two major types of gamers when it comes to character creation. There are those who view the character as their avatar, first person, "This is me, I am awesome" So while they have no problem envisioning themselves as an Exo or an Awoken, they can't imagine themselves as the other gender. On the other hand there are those who view their avatar as a separate person, a third person view, "This is Bob/Susie, they are awesome" Since the character isn't actually them they have no problem imagining the character as any race/gender/species. Most people don't sit down and ask themselves, why do I do what I do? So when questioned they can't really explain, so they find a reason that puts them in the best light possible (or least bad light). Most commonly, "I like to stare at female butt more than male butt" Except when questioned most of them don't ever give it a second thought in game, it's just a knee-jerk "I'm not gay" kind of response Have you noticed every time someone posts asking why guys make female characters they almost always claim it can only be because that person is gay/wants to be a woman, etc Yeah, that's where they excuse comes from. In reality we simply approach character creation differently. And there are plenty of subsets within and between the two groups, that isn't meant to be all inclusive. I know people who will play any gender but won't play anything but human, and others who will play any race/species but only their own gender. It's all about the perspective of the player making the character. People just need to stop being so vile just because they don't understand why someone else does things differently.

Who cares what the reasons are? Let people do as they choose as what gender of avatar they have affects pretty much nothing.

I play girl Titan because I don't like the super buff/bulky look of male Titans. Your answer isn't a solve-all.

I agree, and I may be in the minority when I say this, but has anybody made their characters female because the avatar is significantly smaller than the male? I usually make my avatars female because I assume the hitboxes are smaller (which they probably aren't) thus allowing me to have an advantage in most situations

9 RepliesI just didn't want all three of my characters to be guys so I made 1 a girl. I'm sorry that this causes a massive debate in the forums just because I was trying to even out the gender percentages a bit...I won't do it again.

1 ReplyI consider any character I make in a game to be an extension of myself, so they are always female. Some people like to "role play" (aka look at pixel booty).

If the amle Character didnt look ugly af i woulda made one; it looks like he has man boobs not even pecks; his arms are very unrealistic and blabby while his back is like wdf. Female on the other hand...dat ass. My gf had the same opinions lol we both have 3 titans :)

Does it really matter if you're playing as a guy or girl? These threads are ridiculous. If you think it's weird for a guy to play as a girl, or for a girl to play as a guy, you need to get your perception of gender in check.

I made my second warlock a chick so my original warlock had a dime to keep him company in his down time. That's the opposite of gay.
