Cultivating Light - Light version of a Black Garden?

I do not have any quotes to support this, but I am curious about some conversations referring to the Traveler being the other side of the coin for the Black Garden. According to Google, the definition for garden is "a piece of ground, often near a house, used for growing flowers, fruit, or vegetables." Lets say that the Black Garden is a place where followers of the darkness are spawned. While people do not typically ingest flowers, fruit and vegetables are consumed after being cultivated. Are the followers of darkness not only being spawned to fight us, but to eventually feed some higher form of darkness? If that is the case, and if the Traveler is the antithesis of the Black Garden, are we cultivating the little bit of light we are given upon resurrection into the juggernauts of level 32 and above (post dlc) characters? If this is the case, do you think Bungie will have the Traveler consume our light and drive us to choose an Awoken-like path or side with some faction of the Darkness? What are your thoughts?
