Yeah I just straight up rage quit out of Destiny last night and went to play BF Hardline beta.
When I missed 3/4 golden gun shots that I know hit their targets that was it, I just lost it. Bungie has GOT TO FIX THE LAG. I'm sick of all the nonsense, people surviving supers, shooting me through solid walls, surviving point blank shotgun blasts or Trip Mines with like 1% HP etc.
Shit I even hit a guy the other day with a shoulder tackle and followed it up with a blast from Found Verdict and he took absolutely no damage, turned around and shot me with his Golden Gun. Enough with the red bar = unkillable nonsense, it's supposed to be the other way around I have never played a game before where the person with the worst connection is an unstoppable monster.

My experiences too. Invincible players because of their skill I can deal with, but because of technical issues, well crap. At this point I'm ready to rage quit Destiny for good.

Armor doesn't do anything inside Crucible actually. I believe it does in IB, but AFAIK only agility and recovery actually matter in PvP. The problem is the trip mine does 194~106 damage from the main explosion + around 8 I think as it goes off, it's weird. I don't know why it doesn't just deal 200+/- based on proximity to the bomb. I've been caught by it and 1-shot from the very edge of the blast, while at the same time I've seen other hunters and even warlocks right in front of it, take the full brunt of the blast and survive with like 1% HP give me a f'ing break.

It is because they have high armor and armor increases your hit points.

Not that much, everyone's still averaged to about 200 HP. Last time I checked a Titan with max armor only has maybe 205~210 at most. That doesn't explain softies like fellow hunters or warlocks sponging the hit. The damage from the primary blast should just deal a flat 200 instead of 196.

It's like a 15-25 hp difference. Not a lot but enough that a softie rolling max armor can survive a blast. This is why I run max armor but I could just as easily see the bebefits of max recovery. Personal preference mostly. Max agility is a must IMO. But again preference.
