The ability to vault strange coins should be patched out and gear should be bound to character upon equip because people are exploiting the ability to create 3 characters of the same class and share the gear and coins among them thereby allowing them to gain more coins than designed for use with Xur and allowing them to grind for the raid 3x as much. This is an exploit. Just like the cave. Just like pushing Atheon off the cliff. They must be punished. Bungie make it so.
EDIT: LOL the amount of hate is delicious. I'm wondering how many of you complaining are people who bitch about how Xur is ruining your precious exotics yet farm like this for strange coins. Hypocrits!
2nd EDIT: I like a posters suggestion to make Strange Coins bound to the character they were earned on. This would easily solve half the issue. The other half addressing people who are doing the raid to increase their RNGesus attempts could be likely fixed with some tweaks to the rewards. Such as guaranteeing at least a minimum reward of something decent and worth their time. It seems that people feel entitled to this method because of Bungie's lackluster loot mechanics. Also, another suggestion to allow the other two character slots to be filled with only the two other classes the person doesn't already have would be nice as well.

Retard this is part of the game, and Strange coins, Crafting materials, Ascended materials, and Weapons should all be shared with all characters. Everyone can do it. Dumb fricking post. My opinion. If Bungie listens to you they are out to fricking lunch.

Shutup meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeegg!!!!!!

Epic fail.

I had one of each class. Got all of them above level 25. Titan is 29, War is 27, Hunter was 26. I say was because I decided I did not like the Hunter playstyle. So I dumped it and now I am running up another Titan. Why, because I have an extra character slot, because I want to have two Titans one of each build so instead of swapping gear I can just swap toons, because I like the Titan class, most of all because I can. So do I swap items/gear/currency between characters? Yup. You don't like that I do that? So what. As Bungie would say "works as intended." Other wise why would they lock marks to a character, why have class specific armor and why is glimmer shared across an entire account? You forgot a hash tag or two so I will put them in for you. #troll #ragingtrollbaby #whinersforthewin #boohoowhawhacrycry #tolazytowork there hope that helps.

Bearbeitet von VicReynauld: 11/4/2014 11:25:19 PMIt's almost been 2 months since release, the damage has been done. Changing this now would have no appreciable effect on anything. All it would do is penalize new players for no real reason other than they didn't happen to buy the game when it was brand new. I used to be in favor of overhauling Xur - not removing him - but now it's too late. It's pointless to even care. Besides, given the announcements about DLC and DeeJ's recent post about earning coins, it's clear this isn't even considered an issue by Bungie. I'm completely opposed to bind on equip gear because leveling legendary and exotic weapons is already tedious as hell. The only thing that makes it REMOTELY bearable is being able to share the weapons between characters to level them a bit faster. And I don't want to drown in tears of people who get BOE raid Warlock gear on their Titans only to realize they can't even bank it for later and all they can do is dismantle it for shards and some Hadronic Essences which they can't even use unless they have a Warlock...
-
3 AntwortenYou're probably only saying that because you have only 1 character. I can imagine it now how people will complain. Finished Nightfall: reward *warlock chest piece* "WTF I'm not a warlock" then it binds the gear to your Titan.
-
We should take drops from players that they already have too, so they can't exploit dismantling them for ascendant materials... Better yet give those drops to players that don't have those pieces of gear, that way players that don't have as much time to play can still get all the cool gear. Players that exploit all the extra time they have is unfair. Everyone can only play for 15 mins a day. Better yet, take everyone's drops, whether they already got them or not... No one gets stuff. That way it's completely fair across the board. This all sounds good to you Hitler? Probably, this is the only attention you get cause no one wants to play the raid with you.
-
Why do you care what anyone else is doing? The only hate i see is coming from you.
-
Lol. I made a hunter, got it to level 28, then deleted it because I didn't like it. I also made a titan, got it to level 28, then deleted it because guess what? That's right! I didn't care for it. So, I now have 3 warlocks because I like them the best. I say let people do what they want.
-
So I have a 30 titan,a 27 hunter and a 28 warlock. Because I get more coins than you I shouldn't be allowed to do the weekly 3 times and get rewarded for my effort? That's called grinding brah,it isn't an exploit as it actually takes quite a lot of effort to even get to the point of being able to do the weekly 3 times. Also strange coins are only so useful. I haven't actually gotten anything super useful from xur for a few weeks now so I'm just left with a buttload of useless coins. Stop whining
-
a f*ckin idiot.
-
Sorry, but I'm killing half your argument...pooling strange coins doesn't give a player any more or less exotics than a player that doesn't. how you ask? Player A pools 27 coins a week goes down on xur every weekend. Player B doesn't pool coins and goes down on xur 3x's as hard after 3 weeks. In a 3 week period player a and b have made the same amount of coins and exotics. So, the only advantage to pooling coins is spending flexibility the initial two weeks. Does that make sense?
-
I was taking this seriously, but then I finished the first paragraph. Poor Internet and its inhabitants' broken sarcasm detectors.
-
Somebody wants to work for bungie...
-
Please, tell me how someone obtaining gear for their second/third character slightly easier affects you?
-
2 AntwortenSo who does 3 times the work you do can't get 3 times the rewards you get? That's dumb, and I only have one character
-
Lol some of you people are so -blam!-ing ridiculous. I don't like this! Ruin it for everyone else because im a salty butthurt little child!
-
Bearbeitet von Kalanzo: 11/4/2014 11:17:51 PMso what youre saying is I can't use things in game that I have earned for other characters that I play the game with? sounds like a personal problem.
-
Ummm that's why there's 3 character slots and not infinite. They not only expect this to happen, they made It extremely easy to do. Its not an exploit, its how you play the game. Anyways who cares what other people do, play your way and we will play our way, get over yourself.
-
You are dumb. If I work for it I'll use it how I want.
-
You are too late, I have everything in the game since I made two titans. Muahaha
-
What about these children, won't anyone think of the children?! Oops, I meant motes of light, not children. You can use those to buy the exotic engram
-
Where is the problem? Just means they prefer something. Bungie didn't force 3 different characters, so live with the lack of variety some ppl enjoy.
-
Wow this kid is mad because he didnt think of it and now he is behind the curve lmao. Kid stfu and go cry some where else. Who cares that some people made 3 of the same classes so they could run the vault more ofter. The RNG is bad so why not run 2 or 3 of the same class? I got the same shotgun 6 times and cant get raid gear and i have 2 warlocks doing it every week. So kid pls go to COD and leave us alone.
-
An exploit? Seriously?
-
I rolled a Titan and 2 warlocks. Mainly because I hated playing a hunter. I also was primarily concerned about raiding and it is much easier to get into a raid group with a warlock. Not having to suffer through the gear grind a third time was probably the greatest part of rolling a 2nd warlock. Still had to suffer through hours of the boring ass story mode...
