Ok, so some ideas on item storage: 1) Allow players to access their storage from orbit. 2) Allow players to access all their character's inventories in the vault so that they don't have to switch characters. 3a) Change how special materials are stored. This means ascendant materials, spinmetal, spirit bloom, strange coins, motes of light, etc. Similar to how glimmer works, make it so that these materials are stored across characters. In addition, set the cap to 1200 for each standard material (spirit bloom for example) and 9000 for each common material (weapon and armor parts). That is 6 stacks of each standard material. 3b) Triple materials and consumable stack sizes and make the consumable and materials sections shared among all characters. 4) Make shaders, ships, and emblems a dropdown list containing all unlocked shaders/ships/emblems. This could possibly go for ghosts and vehicles as well. 4.1) Class items (such as cloaks) could potentially be part of this, but since they have levels even within the same item, it may be possible that there is another function of those items outside of faction exp. 5) Increase the Vault size. Make room for 1 of each exotic and 1 of each legendary at a MINIMUM. Preferably, make room for 3 or 4 of each. The vault could be upgraded with a 'page' system for additional storage. 6) Allow for item sorting: Manual sort, rarity sort, power sort (defense/attack power), element sort, etc.
