We've successfully launched our Clan, but I'm a bit green on how things work. Clan Newb here.
I'm finding some people join us, and I accept them, and they still aren't part of the Clan.
They've joined the "group" but not the "Clan".
After that they can go to the clan page, and "set as Xbox Clan", and then I have to approve them a second time, and all is well.
So here's the question...
Is this normally a two step process, or are we doing it wrong?
Do you have to join the group before you can join the clan?
Is there a way to bypass the group step, and simply join the clan?

1 AntwortenHey Tardis, I think I might be able to help.
Is this normally a two step process, or are we doing it wrong?
This is the normal process. Groups are a place for members to gather and converse, whereas the clan exists to show solidarity while playing Destiny. A user can belong to multiple groups, but they can only belong to one clan at a time per console. This means that everyone who joins your group needs to also mark as their clan in order to get the clan tag in game.
Do you have to join the group before you can join the clan?
Yes.
Is there a way to bypass the group step, and simply join the clan?
Unfortunately no. Let me know if you would like me to elaborate on anything, and let me know if you have further questions.
