Won't matter. From what I've gathered, sony won't let anyone play til 12:01 PST and microsoft lets anyone play from 12:01 local time where you are. Bungie servers will be on but you can't play til it's the 9th where you are.

I saw that on my XBox, but I thought that just applied to the digital version. With the digital version, you can download it early but won't actually be able to access the game until that specific time. But I feel like if I have a hard copy, then it could work? I dunno.

They can't control that when you have the physical disk that is only for the digital

Remember when they used to brick xbox consoles that were chipped? Same process used. I'm not saying that's what they ARE doing, but that's how it reads - digital edition or other. It wouldn't make sense for it to be digital edition only because the physical disc contains the same content as the digital and both have to go through xbox live. It isn't as if the disc contains server information that allows it to get around microsoft's servers and directly to bungies.
