Nice, Remington 870s are very nice, if I were you I'd keep it. (But maybe do some cleaning like take apart the rusting part and give it a good cleaning. If all else fails check the price on factory replacement parts if its worrying you that bad.)

My issue is the shit that is coming out of the factory. The 870's were great guns and still are, but the company that bought Remington has turned their quality in a shit stream that people just eat up. That is rust on the finish that is on the receiver. The receiver is finished in such a way as to have pitting. Moisture sits in that pitting and eats away at it destroying the finish. The only ways to really stop the issue is to refinish the receiver, which to me is not worth it compared to the cost of the gun. It's just total bullshit that this is what Remington is reduced to, cutting costs by putting shitty ass finishes on their guns.
