I agree with Betrael. Keep is simple. DON'T over think it. That's the Bungie way...... streamlined.
As far as I can tell from the gameplay, each class has two abilities. I'd venture to guess there will be a "slot" on your menu to choose an ability-combination. So one bundle will be space-magic-grenades and maybe another bundle will be "Buff-n-Res".
Though I'm COMPLETELY speculating. When in doubt – if it sounds complicated, clunky, and overly drawn-out, it's probably not the direction Bungie will go.

Bearbeitet von Paul Hammer: 7/18/2013 8:00:59 PMIf Bungie decides to go with 2 abilities per class, that's fine. I have confidence that Bungie will make a great game with "30 seconds of fun". I'm hoping that there are more than two skills though. In this case, it would be nice to access them all without the need to pause the game, or take your thumbs off the sticks. The system I described is fluid and logical. The combinations are simple and require 2 buttons to perform. You would unlock them gradually, thereby easing players into it.

Gotcha. I can see where you're coming from. My line of reasoning (at least on the PvP side) is that having the handicap of having to access a menu mid-battle would discourage players from doing so. Cutting down on the random craziness of having players with 3 weapons and 5+ abilities battling each other at the same time. That's ALOT going on.

You're right, a lot would be going on when it comes to pvp. But not all the guardian abilities should be offensive. A well balanced mix of offensive and defensive abilities could work in pvp. In fact, more defensive and support abilities may be needed to counter the elite skills, which seem extremely powerful when compared to the standard weapons (based on pve). But I'm also hoping they have a pvp arena without any space magic whatsoever... or maybe just a solar flare (i.e. a grenade equivalent).

Motion to change "bundle" to "Bungle". Also, why not have one button cycle the active ability, and the other use it? Think weapon switching, but with a larger inventory - though you'll probably not want to have more than 3 or 4 options.
