but you didn't need a fast internet connection for the old policy...you could literally use a potato for your internet and you would have been fine.

We only have Microsoft's word on that and their word isn't exactly worth much. They can claim their system-wide always online DRM was going to be as unobtrusive and painless as much as they want, but always-online DRM already has a history of being a bad idea and I'm not going to ignore that because Xbawks. Also, Microsoft is pushing cloud computing which does require a decent broadband infrastructure and wide availability of affordable, quality broadband.

^This. you only needed fast internet for downloads, uploads and online multipayer. Games and things were playable with 24 hour check-ins as long as it was faster than 1.5 mbps my grandmother's got the slowest internet on the market and it never works properly and it's still 4.5 mbps
