You seem to misunderstand something OP. You seem to think that if you don't use the drug then it doesn't affect you when the truth is it does. People get injured or killed when using things like meth or heroin and as a result have to go to the hospital. That means the hospital has to spend time and money on them which could be used elsewhere on people that actually contribute to society. Then a lot of the hard drugs out there produce violent tendencies among other things. There are reasons why they are illegal and should stay that way. Also most people are not doctors and do not know the side effects of mixing multiple different drugs together.

Except prohibition causes far more harm and wastes even more money. No one is asking for irresponsibility with drugs to be legal, and drug users obviously don't care about following unjust laws.
-
How so? Prohibition limits the amount of people that can obtain a certain drug and as a result reduces the amount of people that can misuse that drug. Also essentially you are asking for irresponsibility to be legal since people that do hard drugs are essentially destroying their body no matter how you look at it.
-
False. Prohibition makes drugs more easily obtainable to children and doesn't stop anyone who wants to use them. Who cares if they destroy their own bodies?
-
What makes you think that? If anything alcohol and tobacco say otherwise. Also I care if they destroy their bodies when it means I am affected by it. In the case of hard drugs it affects me even now when they are illegal I am still affected by their stupid decisions.
