So I’ve been playing Destiny since Beta D1 and I recently took a break after finishing Final Shape, it’s was the end of the game for me, what came after was just them building funds for marathon. However I’m not here to -blam!- on that game more so complaining about the fact that even after about 2 years of a break nothing has changed. Since Forsaken there has been little to no regard of what the community has to say, no communication with the player base and understanding what they want or what the game actually needs, just the same repetitive content reskinned and renamed, there was never anything truly new throughout every $30-50 pay wall. The developers no matter who they blame, wether it be the CEO or Activision or whoever the hell else are solely at fault, the developers are the ones that actually design and pitch the ideas, for them to repeat the same content nearly every DLC with maybe a few bits of flair never actually made anything new and unique. That’s just my opinion…furthermore I’ve been reading the forums and plenty of players have dealt with people hacking accounts, cheating, scammers and more and in almost every scenario the team has not helped said individuals. I am included in that statement as due to the companies, “It’s your account so it’s your problem stance” the steam account I had linked is no longer accessible and therefore I can’t authenticate it to deactivate the cross save and they won’t help me with it. This game was dead the moment they played the blame game on everyone but themselves, yes Activision and the prior CEO didn’t help in the slightest as they are both dirtbags who only care about money, but bungie didn’t take any steps to recover, they failed in the end due to their own lack of communication and imagination. I tried hopping on this game because I saw about half the community came back for their final update however due to my inability to recover my cross saved account I can’t play. May Bungie go bankrupt in peace and may Marathon shutdown entirely…the only thing that could save this company and their community is by bringing back all sunsetted content however we all know that’s not gonna happen.
