Seasonal content is desperately needed…. Story, progression, etc… a vehicle for the gameplay. Building and growing relationships with characters.
Lawless Frontier is a great activity… but we used to get three of these type of activities a year. But it’s empty grind… why are we doing it narratively? Is there even a reason? Edge of Fate had a good hook for a story that could go for a couple of years. Renegades felt like it didn’t move it forward at all.

Agree, said recently once marathon is out they have to over deliver… they owe us something we have suffered so long!

Very mild take lol Narratively speaking we’re obviously in the lawless frontier bc uh. Ummm… Well idk about you I’m just there bc I want to hear more about Eido and the piker boss. There’s probably an argument there about building relations with spider, rao, etc., and also collecting dark matter for research to develop way to counter the Empirium and Eclipse energy, and some of it’s just assassinations to maintain the power struggle so that no one faction can control the area and become a threat to the city in the future. That said something to move the story forward instead of repeating the same battles on encore would be cooler

Pretty room temp if you ask me.

Bungie decided that the content is unnecessary if people are willing to buy the season pass regardless
