Bungie is hoping against hope that the D2 crowd will migrate to Marathon hence why we see all the hype.
-
1 AntwortenNot sure why Bungie thinks that screwing over D2 will help in Marathons sales, when the only people who knows about Marathon are the D2 players.
-
5 AntwortenHopefully it will get its own app, for the couple of months before they pull the plug 🤣
-
Thank you for this! I saw it too and thought the exact same thing! I DONT CARE!
-
2 AntwortenIs Bungie the only studio that advertises new games on their apps?

3 AntwortenBearbeitet von Motorhead England: 1/16/2026 2:53:19 AMWhat they're trying to say is, " Look, we know we ruined Destiny but we sacrificed it to make this shiny new game for you (although the original came out 32 years ago on Mac). It's a little late, but we've made some really good changes because it wasn't quite up to scratch". The benchmark titles for this type of game have already been established 12 months ago, and original titles for this genre such as the Division and Tarkov have been out as long as Destiny. Who the hell is going to buy it, especially when they have neglected PvP on Destiny to the point of disrepair?

Bearbeitet von FingersXed: 1/15/2026 8:24:15 PMAre you talking about the Tile that links to the Dev Insights article, a link to an article about just another game from the very same studio? I actually had to look for it btw, that top row completely eludes me. Do you also want Destiny 1 related news to be removed, since this is the Destiny 2 app? Not really into Extraction Shooters myself as a side note, but I couldn't care less if they put news about it in the app, this sounds just petty.

You know what it reminds me of? D1. Except how many curated classes/runners? You see thief? That looks super fun to me. What's better than your kit getting buffed by the core driver, i.e. loot progression. I'm going to call my character the Junker... I'm going to go in with a backpack full of junk I don't need to juice my kit... then cycle it out as I get better loot. Seems fire. Really every runner. Thief though, I think I'm starting there... that kit idea seems amazing. Does quality of the loot matter, it should...

1 AntwortenThis! Advertising Marathon on D2 is such a boneheaded move. Knowing Bungle pulled resources from a D2 to work on Marathon and seeing the subpar content after that in D2 only ensures the fact I will not play another game they make. What I still can’t believe is there are those Bungle D riders out there who will still play this game even after all the controversy with the stealing of art and overall just bad PR with the game.

Bearbeitet von Prowler690: 1/15/2026 10:35:13 PMIsn't it the Bungie app or BNet app though rather than Destiny2? I don't use it so I don't know, I access the forum using my laptop while I play. Oh I'm not touching Marathon with a recycled piece of an Anthem server, probably moving on from Destiny2 before long in fact as game seems done if I can believe my friends list.

Ikr? The game has already been written off as DOA. The only way Marathon will be worth anything is if it makes GOTY, and when's the last time Bungie made one of those or even a contender? Probably Halo 3 if all the misplaced love fans and 343 industries had for it what with that getting like 80% of the attention/ updates on MCC is anything to go by.
