It is a good chance, to closely review this policy for players protection. We all do agree about preventing fraud and illicit activities concerning accounts. But changing it to a permament link is leading users to more issues. A good balance would be enabling a larger cooldown (12 months like most other services do). Or some security layers (2FA, email, or other verification proofs. Having the link permanent does not protect users from human error and reconsider choices. What if I would like to delete my Steam account? I can't because if Bungie decide to review policy I would not be able to authenticate. So please Bungie consider to a better balance over this policy to prevent users discomfort and keep their trust.
