3 AntwortenBearbeitet von Guardian,Archon Of Light: 8/10/2024 2:39:14 PMA raid clearly designed for the world first racers without any consideration for the larger community But get ready for the get gud replies

Cope harder, it is really not that hard, take the time to learn it properly and I'll be fine.
-
Yeah, the completion numbers are terrible compared to every other new raid.
-
No one is playing it.
It’s really not. The mechanic is just get on plate when it glows and Verity is laughably easy if you understand 3d shapes.
-
Odds on that Bungie will require you to complete it for the 2024/25 seal!

6 AntwortenBearbeitet von CrossMod5282: 8/10/2024 1:33:13 PMReally disappointing. I've always bought the expansions for the raids. I have full clears of every D2 raid since launch EXCEPT for Salvation's Edge. No one wants to teach it, no one wants to play it. Without the raid, the endgame of this expansion is dead. Elitist gatekeepers want the entire player base to financially subsidize an experience only they can enjoy.

Agree, catering to day 1raiders was a colossal error -
1 AntwortenBearbeitet von Obi-Juan: 8/11/2024 2:56:46 PMIt's designed to be hard. We likely won't see an activity that hard again for a long time if ever so who cares. The people who wanted a hard raid got a hard raid for the first time since Last Wish. Let them have that. We'll have an exotic mission coming up soon. Patience. Keep in mind what the raid is. It's the raid where you fight the damn Witness. The big bad of the 10 year saga. It should be the hardest activity in the game. We got our Excision to experience the witness final stand and even the GM version so everyone got what they wanted if we're actually being mature/reasonable about it.
-
6 AntwortenThe Witness is one of the easiest raid bosses I’ve ever encountered.
-
3 AntwortenTimer is too tight for average players or lfg, not worth the headache if I'm not running it with my clan unfortunately. It's worse in lfg than crown of sorrows was imo.
-
11 AntwortenNgl I’ve only been doing witness and excision each week for a red border or two and a chance at euphony.

2 AntwortenBearbeitet von GioC3ntr1c: 8/11/2024 2:51:35 PMIt’s just 4th encounter. And if you aren’t doing the challenge or triumph, it’s not that hard to wrap your head around. I’ve taught it in 10-15 minutes, and if everyone else on my team knows what to do and keeps comms silent, I can tell that new player exactly what shape to pick up and where to deposit it when required. Discord streaming helps. Try a little harder. Watch some guides. Use LFG. Sounds harsh, but it’s just the reality if you want the clear.
-
It's not hard. The first half is just dance dance revolution. The fourth encounter takes a bit to wrap your head around, but when you get it, it's super trivial. And the witness fight is pretty trivial up to damage phase.
-
6 AntwortenIt's not too hard people are just not smart or lazy. It's all about timing the entire raid. There's one memory game section which really isn't that difficult if you know your shapes. Nobody wants to teach it because the majority of people just expect a carry while knowing little to nothing about the encounters lol
-
No it’s not. There’s just too many blueberries who think they can get a free carry and just add clear without the rest of the team knowing. Watch a guide, practice every roll in each encounter and actually pull your weight. Git gud.
-
It was quite obvious that the raid would fall off a cliff after a few weeks. Very unforgiving. I've enjoyed most raids in the game, tried salvations once, and haven't loaded into it since.
-
5 AntwortenPlenty of lfg posts for it on xbox.

1 AntwortenWell. At least that one guy that says how incredibly easy everything is can say his day 1 raid experience was difficult. That's what's most important I guess...
-
They got their title and bailed. Least I got my one full clear after they got rid of surges

Bearbeitet von pallwizzy: 8/11/2024 3:46:38 AMIf it wasn't for the forth encounter and no dedicated add clear roles in the raid, it would be on the easier side. And the fourth encounter isn't hard. People just stuck at teaching it. (And listening)
-
Nah it's easy
-
Yeah nobody wants to sit for 6 hours in LFG or try to wrangle sherpas to teach.
-
Before you hit 5ish clears, it is a little tricky to learn at first, but once you fully understand its not hard. 1st 3 encounters are literally just ping pong. 4th is tricky to learn but easy when you know what you're doing. The only problem that I find on final is ad clear not being good, ppl not staying alive during dmg (yes mistakes happen) and triangle hand being the single worst thing known to man. Overall I find this raid quite fun
-
It’s a bit of a 2-fold issue. (This coming from someone that almost always uses LFG and has all the weapons crafted + Euphony) 1. It’s a little bit too hard. The whole raid is very unforgiving with mess-ups. Other raids tend to have 1-2 encounters where the mechanics are more strict (3rd encounter of Vow, Queenswalk, Crota maze, etc) but this is the case with every encounter in SE outside of maybe the 1st (and phase 3 of the 3rd encounter) You then also have it as one of the more intense combat raids. Enemies deal a lot of damage and the abundance of mini-bosses that you need to deal with either solo or in a group of 2. Both of these combine to make it very unforgiving to teach and learn. There is rarely an opportunity to learn from your mistakes without forcing a reset. This gets grating of the teachers very fast, especially if someone is missing something about an encounter. 2. People are trying to coast by in this raid like they did in the others - and they can’t. Encounters 2-4 need EVERYONE to interact with mechanics. This raid has very few ad-clear roles that people just love to jump on, say nothing, and get their loot. Often times even when running teaching friendly raids, there will be someone that joins who just wants to sit there with their mic off and not learn. This slows everything down to a crawl, doesn’t make it fun for the teachers or those that want to learn. Even on the Witness which has 3-4 dedicated ad-clear roles, having those people know about and be able to assist in simple things (like shooting the wipe mechanic or being able to keep their resonance timer up if they get one so we’re not stopping constantly to cleanse) The raid overall was fun if you had a good, consistent team. When everyone knows what to do, knows all the mechanics inside and out, etc; it’s a very fun raid. But it’s also the raid that is hurt the most when it comes to LFG and teaching.
-
3 AntwortenHonestly if encounter 4 didn't exist I'd consider Vow or even the revamped Crota to be more difficult. It feels like 99% of the difficulty is encounter 4.
-
4 AntwortenWell, it's kind of in the name. "Salvation's Edge." I know I'll never attempt to do that raid.
