A lot of those changes are baffling, for example the Getaway Artists nerf to Arc Soul generation of grenade energy?
Its like they simply do not understand they are killing this game themselves making it far less fun for everyone.

Bearbeitet von Tahllinavian: 8/7/2024 6:19:48 AMAgreed, the reserve nerf was also soul crushing for snipers, from 30 base with rapids down to a piddly 23, ridiculous. The rocket ammo finder nerf and super nerf was annoying, too.
Agreed, the reserve nerf was also soul crushing for snipers, from 30 base with rapids down to a piddly 23, ridiculous. The rocket ammo finder nerf and super nerf was annoying, too.
That’s a bug. Reserves were intended to be buffed, not nerfed. https://x.com/bungiehelp/status/1820928687606202653?s=46&t=cKaS6wLilYl9Xmqcts3Yaw

Bearbeitet von Tahllinavian: 8/7/2024 6:37:26 AMJesus how many bugs are they gonna introduce this patch ? Graviton was bad enough and you're telling me they bugged reserves too ? My god what a mess of a patch.

I'm loving it DMT 4 Life

One nerf for me that annoys me is the Rocket Sidearm nerf with ammo finders. Ah yes Bungie, "fix" them so they no longer count as primary weapons. It's not like it was messing things up for anyone seeing as how ammo finder mods are disabled in PvP and your ammo drop rates are already atrocious. Made no sense for such a nerf.

Pretty sure it was just giving some unintended effect anyway. But sure, complain that it’s killing the game.

It specifically is part of the Exotic's function, as they only altered it to not work while Devour was active. However, this was only one example of the multiple changes to the sandbox which was uncalled for. The philosophy itself of removing nearly anything that helps players instead of fixing the real problems with the game is what I mean when they are hurting themselves in the long run. Certainly kills my mood to even log in at this point.

Devour provides such an enormous boost to grenade recharge that this has almost no impact on gameplay. Especially the content that you play. If they did not include that in the psych notes, you would not notice it. The update included a number of fixes, just like every update. Balancing patches are done by an entirely different team of developers.

The hidden effect on Getaway Artist does 5% Grenade energy per burst meaning it only has to hit, whereas Devour is 7.5% per kill. This means that you would have to rely on the Arc Soul to kill which rarely occurs in endgame content unless you are facing Thrall or carefully lowering an enemy's health close enough to the threshold, for it to be unnoticeable. As for the content that I play, I have used this Exotic for several solo Dungeons runs, so I am not sure what you mean by this.

From actual gameplay the build has no noticeable difference and alienation able to easily loop its abilities.

It's killing the fun in the game matey. That's for sure.
-
Its definitely noticeable. You're a hunter main. You wouldn't know.

Can’t use any builds too much.

Well in the midst of bad press, lowered morale, and players thinking of leaving the only clear path forward was to... *checks notes* ... Nerf a pair of pants that are so niche that we forgot they existed?
-
Have you seen how Graviton Lance is performing at the moment? It's sluggish with ridiculous recoil and a much lower RPM. It's ruined my fun for Void Titan. Hope it's not a stealth nerf because it's things like this on top of the updates that wreck fun.
-
Yes, this update literally killed everything I was using, it sucks.
-
I have not yet, personally though it is still on my Titan I think. The patch notes state that the Heavy Burst archetype was changed from 395 to 300, which I think Graviton Lance is technically, but it was supposedly not going to change the actual RPM. Wouldn't be surprised if it did somehow affect them though.
-
I just saw a post on Youtube (Fallout Plays) that confirms my observation. It's been stealth nerfed or unintentionally bugged to perform awfully. Great.
-
Yeah, I probably will only log in to check what is available for Bright Dust today and wait until the weekend to play, so they can shake out all the bugs they have us play test.
-
shake out all the bugs they have us play test.
Ha, as if they would. Pretty sure majority of their play test team or whatever it is for fixing bugs was part of what got laid off the first time seeing as how there is still an annoying bug in the game since 2019 when it comes to anti-barrier on projectile weapons against Phalanxes/Hydra shields.

"It's a joke, son." Too many focused on what the CEO did with his own money when it ought to be on the mistakes made at Bungie - from top to bottom. It's easier and more profitable for "influencers" to single out one guy most everyone can hate and then ride the clicks train.
