You can counter all of it.
That’s bull. Swarm nades + scorch smoke bombs + weaken + blind strand clones + threadlings + Disorients AA Exotics that mess with your radar And that doesn’t even scratch the surface
-
Triple lighting surge Automated sentries for every single class. 2 on prismatic. On demand dive heal without need for exotics that also pairs with ability use fragments Multiple exotics to amp said automated sentries… And I’m just scratching the surface of the list… Play better

No sensible warlock is gonna push a space using all them surges. They’re only gonna eat a shotgun. It’s best used for clean ups — when hunters can still do better with a smoke bomb.
-
Triple surge is a free AoE that can wipe multiple players if they are grouped up 😂 That one shot hunter that tried to decoy away? Yea you’ll kill him… and heal if you run the right fragment… You not liking hunters doesn’t mean you should downplay other abilities 🤷♂️

Have you even looked at what you are running on you lock. Get fking real

Bearbeitet von ZayOsiris Gaming: 8/5/2024 5:37:44 PMThere’s no sense in deflecting from the truth — because no matter what you see me running (for fun or otherwise) the hunter meta is extremely over tuned. You can’t even get into a traditional gunfight without the inevitable odds of that hunter you’re shooting dodging out of combat, creating a clone, creating threadlings, throwing a swarm nade/smoke bomb. Proceeding to f*ck the radar up. And pulling out whenever special weapon they’re using. Multiple this by 6 and you’ve got yourself a recipe for disaster. Hunters are absolutely ruining the sandbox with this nonsense. We haven’t even gotten into the topic of constant health regains, poor server stability, rubber-banning, team shooting, exotics, map design, or the landfield of other issues PvP experiences. Prismatic is a fantastic resource for PvE. But in PvP; some dials need to go down. Way down!

Traditional gunfight? Lmfao Warlocks have battle buddies on most of their classes. They aren’t “traditionally” fighting
Traditional gunfight? Lmfao Warlocks have battle buddies on most of their classes. They aren’t “traditionally” fighting
By comparison; they’re nowhere close to being as frequent or oppressive compared to the hunter tool-kit. When was the last time you slammed your desk and said “those gosh darn arc buddies are OP”. Yeah I didn’t think so 😂 Even when they’re double stacked; you still have to remember they’re all travel time abilities.
-
I’ve never once slammed my desk and thought. That damn decoy… I have Helion and Healing turrets up almost 24/7 with my current build on my Warlock… it’s JUST as common and just as oppressive… All travel time abilities? What does that matter? It’s extra free damage off of using an ability… reducing TTKs vastly for a bunch of weapons… Again… no class is “traditionally” fighting. Especially not the class that has battle buddies ready to go

Right image 3 locks running your build ruins the same amount. Pocket helio rift hell

How do you counter swarm grenades? Only 2 ways I know how to, and one method requires Threaded Spectre. The other involves running away and giving up an area. How do you counter the aim assistance from Threaded Spectre dragging your aim off the opponent? Yes, Threaded spectre can be broken, but that is usually done after the enemy is already safe behind cover. How do you counter being caught in a smoke? Can you see through it? I certainly can't. All of these abilities are very good, but when taken together, they're obnoxious. They all have short cooldowns and offer area denial and control. Additionally, they take time to destroy. The radar manipulation is also incredibly potent. Trials usage rates speak for themself. Prismatic Hunter is broken and might be the biggest outlier of any meta we have ever had.
-
Lots on nades out there that make you leave an area dude. Personally I don’t run them. Smoke is easy to evade using dash, thrusters, dodge, slide, charge……. Damn 3 freeze lock puts pris hunter to shame with options and freeze is absolute. There are plenty of abilities that make it hard to aim on target. Pocket is probably one of the best pre fire or turrets and if you think about how many there are it’s everywhere. Hunter is the most main class in destiny. Most start on it. Looks great and the jump in pve is great. I don’t go airborne very often in PvP. Shots don’t register at ALL. So when Hunter is very viable it’s going to be the most popular by a ton. The right builds can definitely compete dude.

It is ok, that smoke have nearly from every subclass a "verb", but than it's base cooldown should be at least 3 min and on top 1.5x if gamblers Dodge is equipped. This should be global for all Hunter melee abilities. If gamblers Dodge is equipped, melee cooldowns should be 1.5x, plus dodge needs a significant increase of cooldown.
-
Sure but dash and charge should have a 3 minute cooldown and all worlock and titan melee abilities should be 3 minutes also. Okay let’s do this.
-
They are longer than Hunter cooldowns this is the point. And they don't do as much as smokes, which slow (stasis verb), weaken (void), disorient/blind (arc), DOT (similar to solar burn), are a range melee, stick on the ground for period of time, pings on radar (sth Bungie gave Strand hunters also), can be further enhanced via subclass or exotic perks and give all effects even if they are destroyed on the battlefield. No other melee matches this. Plus cooldown is negated through gamblers Dodge (which should lose this ability btw and maybe increase melee cooldown for a few seconds or give something like 20-30% of melee back).
-
Smoke has been in the game since the start. Why all hunters not running void. Mmm because invis is -blam!- in PvP and the super. If you gave all hunters the 3 freeze lock build or even just the titan melee abilities this place would explode. Hell I would trade smoke in a second for pocket with parting gift. Charge a corner and wipe an entire team. When the hunter gets anything competitive this place blows up. Makes sense the hunter should have only one useful ability for every class while other get a damn Swiss Army knife. Hunters should have an unlimited dodge with a 4 second cooldown without threaded like dash. Hunter are the slowest class now and pris will soon be wrecked because it’s never enough. Terrible players with terrible build will always want more nerfs. so warlock here I come.
-
Hunter always is competitive, they are always the best option for PVP only sometimes there are contenders which can hold it only for so long, they get nerfed in the ground while hunters get tickled or rebuffed even later.
-
There were multiple times nearly all Hunters were running void. Only the super held it in place except when spectral could roam over 3-5 minutes. Besides were even more busted Hunter options to which Hunter leaned in between. And now you have all these shitty options in prismatic at once plus a super that is basically 3x thunder crash again with a shorter cooldown. The most problematic are the short cooldowns as I reiterated many times.
-
I'm not going to try to convince you that Prismatic Hunter is too strong. Just know that 50% of the Trials population is choosing to use Prismatic Hunter instead of one of the other FIFTEEN subclasses. Even if you disagree that Prismatic Hunter is too strong, you have to admit that 50% of the population on a single subclass is too much.
-
When everything else sucks having a subclass that has multiple useful abilities gets used. The other classes have so many viable options compared to the hunter pre-prism.
-
If the other Classes had viable options, then players would not be swapping to Hunters for competitive PVP modes. When a subclass is better than all others, it needs a nerf.
-
If that were true then bubble titan or well lock would have had the highest numbers by a MILES over Hunter the year before final shape man. Miles! Abilities don’t make the player and hunters are used to having limited options. Like I said if the Hunter had the exact same abilities as lock or titan the Hunter would still be the most used class by miles every year. This is why the Hunter can’t have multiple useful abilities. I mean can you imagine if hunters had the pris kits the other classes have or even just dash(no real cooldown) on lock triple freeze. Dude I could go on and on and ON! Hell they had a decent grapple melee once that had a long cast time(oh here’s my grapple im coming get the shotgun out) and it was still nerfed into the ground.
-
You're biased. Do you think it is good for the game for 1 loadout to be used by over half the playerbase?
And yes, Wellock and Bubble Titans WERE the most used subclasses prior to their nerf at the start of the season. Lol, which is why they were nerfed, and it's the same reason Prismatic Hunter will be nerfed.
-
It took over a year for well lock and bubble titan to be nerfed. Hunter mains make up over 50% of the PvP population. It’s alway been this way. Not saying it’s healthy it’s just always been this way. Titan has almost always been the strongest in PvP yet the hunter number are still always high. Just give hunters a one shot shoulder charge in the air and it would be game over. If you look at the other classes they have abilities that are useful all under one subclass with super that are not a death sentence. You put that into a hunters hands that is used to having limited options and this is what happens.
-
Do you think Prismatic Hunter is fine as it is and does not need to be changed?
