Neither. After this week I don't want anything more to do with Bungie.

To be fair to the staff, it seems most of the problems stem from upper management. I can't believe they let Luke Smith go. He directed The Taken King and the first 3 years of Destiny 2. So many talented people ripped from their positions.

I feel for the staff. One woman was set to start maternity leave on Monday. Instead she has to go look for a job and find insurance before hers expires.

That's insane. No person should have to deal with that. 🥺

The game he was making was a 3rd person shooter, mainly puzzles, requiring teamwork, for the hardcore. Glad it was binned & he was removed.

Bearbeitet von Durge8One: 8/2/2024 6:12:13 PMStill, can the game, not the talent. I don't how Payback came about. Could've been someone else's pitch he was assigned to. Plus it was still Destiny related.

Someone said years ago, I think parsons, that senior bungie staff pitched him ideas & he chose which to run with & led them lead the incubations. An example, Chris Barratt pitched marathon & led marathon. Smith was quite high up & was lead of the destiny universe, so likely he pitched this. He was a wow scarab lord so big into hardcore 3rd person, noseworthy was super casual & not much of a gamer.
