This is how I view it.
IF #1 (Destiny2)
If they just manage to upkeep the current non-seasonal stuff (ritual playlists..vendors..dares..etc).. make the seasonal events and Iron Banner top-level.. bring back a few old content things on a rotator and every once in a while a content drop.. and this is all able to keep up a meaningful population.. I see it as better even than the current state.
IF #2 (Marathon)
If they add "normal" PVP type game-modes it has a chance. Not interested in the extraction shooter portion.. but regular PVP with similar movement/gun-feel.. in the new game.. its got a chance.

It's been described today by people higher up as in it's death spiral. This basically means very low manpower content until it peters out so effectively gardening leave or rest mode.

Sure its early-on.. if they can figure out how to monetize.. or if they value the remaining community to transition them into a future game eventually down the road.. good things can happen.. but yes it of course looks bad today. For now will eek out what I can.

Bearbeitet von eliteg: 8/1/2024 8:21:36 PMVery interesting stuff overall thanks! (listened to the 1st Bungie part only so far) Well so after that.. I think you transition everything D2 and Marathon assets clearly into D3. You can make extraction shooting a part of the gameplay..etc.. Thats the opportunity for Sony/Bungie. F'n listen to the players.. collect that feedback.. again I would offer me as a consultant :) (have the background needed) key part I would demand > as part of your monetization strategy factor in that you must keep teams available for not just support but iterations on dropped content.. factor in size of game (be lore ready to rotate beloved archived content (and update)..
