I recently just logged into destiny and was told my name was changed due to Bungie Name changes, and it told me to change it on bungie.net. I go to Bungie.net and it tells me I have no name changes..? See attached image.
So am I now stuck with this generic Bungie name with no way to change it?

Hey there. A reset of this kind means that your name was reported, manually reviewed by Bungie, deemed to be against code of conduct, and reset to a Guardian default. The in-game message is misleading as there's no specific message for a moderated name, you just get the crossplay name change message instead. Unfortunately if you've used your name changes, you are stuck with the default until Bungie decides to issue another name change.

Looks like the system works perfectly.

Bearbeitet von TuxyDoh: 7/23/2024 5:23:50 PMHello there, The in-game message is misleading. A name reset to default like that means it was reported, reviewed by Bungie and reset to"Guardian####", that indicates that some part of the name broke the Code of Conduct or the Bungie Name Policy, was filtered, and can no longer be used. When that happens, you get the new name cross play message in-game as notice of the name change. You can try a different name if you have not previously changed it. If the system is not allowing more changes, there is no way to override it.
