What they've done in the past, change the mode to the same boring crap we always have.

Yeah I've seen plenty of people being in favor of mixing it up - because Control is getting kind of stale - but they typically also end with "....but this aint it".

Bearbeitet von jmann43b: 7/10/2024 10:08:24 PMAlthough I'm not much for PvP, I do like Control; I really do. But it's probably available more than any other mode in the game and IB needs something different when it's active. This is only my personal opinion, but I've come to suspect the reason Tribute is so disliked is that despite being an "Objective" mode it doesn't have the clear-cut "move from this point to this point to this point, rinse-and-repeat." Much more chaotic, especially with the banks moving around the map as they do. There aren't any lines to run, no perches to sit and snipe players from, just full-on run and gun wackiness. Weirdly, I'd think this would make it rather popular since posts from players complaining about "campers" are a common occurrence but then, I've also been of the opinion that many Destiny players only want something until they get it then want something completely different (or in this case, completely old and worn out). Edit: Apologies for being long-winded here, I like Tribute and won't be thrilled to see it go yet again.

I havent PvP'ed in destiny since destiny 1 but figured I would knock out the iron banner trophies. This game mode is just painful though and I still don't know what the heck the turrets are supposed to add - other than literally spawning on me and insta-killing me from time to time. I remember a similar gametype where each team atleast had to collect crests dropped from the other team (blue or red). In this current version you can basically farm yourself as long as you get them in the end.

Yeah, I agree the turrets could definitely go. I've been crushed by the drop pods a few times myself because the stupid things landed right next to a bank as I was dunking crests. 😂 The other issue that I have with Tribute, although it has nothing to do with the made but the players, is how I've seen where they'd collect a full haul of crests and then dive off the map so the opposing team couldn't collect them. Both on my team and the other team, and that's just..........."poor sportsmanship" is the only term I can think of to describe it. I'm not positive but I think the mode that's similar to this one is Supremacy, where you collect crests but don't have to dunk them anywhere. Could be wrong here though since I can't remember the last time I saw that active.
