I'm finding it difficult to justify the loss of a free +10 Stability on guns for a "5-10% increase" on flinch. Is this flinch increase noticeable? Can anyone here say that they've honestly won a gunfight because of the increased flinch put out by HC rounds, or is it a placebo?
This is only about PvP btw. In PvE, I prefer HC rounds because they consistently stunlock and stagger enemies.
The benefit granted is more noticeable on lower impact weapons since they have lower base flinch. Autorifles will benefit more than a hand cannon.

I don’t think HC rounds are worth it alone, but if you add explosive payload or timed it gets annoying pretty quickly

And in your opinion from you play PvP, do you think it's worth that tradeoff for a varying level of flinch increase depending on your gun?
And in your opinion from you play PvP, do you think it's worth that tradeoff for a varying level of flinch increase depending on your gun?
I mostly use pulse and sidearms these days. Sidearms are pretty good with it, but with resil changes giving flinch resistance and stability giving flinch resistance, I value my own stability and resistance to flinch over making my enemy flinch more. No point in flinching them more if I can’t hit my own shots.

This makes sense, thanks. I like to think I can somewhat rely on annoying my enemy with increased flinch, and in doing so, make them miss a shot or two. Against a HC user, this is critical considering 100% of their damage is in a single shot, and if they miss, they're pretty much guaranteed to lose.
