If this happens hunter dodge will have to get nerfed harder. The better mobility becomes as a stat the harder they will have to nerf dodge. Take mobility as is or lose the short dodge cooldown.

Definitely a warlock main Outstandingly poor logic it’s not like dodge cool-down time would be buffed and it’s already been continuously increased
-
At least we know he knows nothing about what he is talking about anyway. Im still waiting for any of these replies to have a good argument against a mobility buff. Most of them aren't too different than this one, assuming that mobility should be a dead stat because they dont need it. Which ignores the issues in the first place.
-
Also pvp is trash in this game so u can say whatever u want in the end I don't care what happens because it won't affect me in the slightest.
-
The point of it isnt just for pvp. It has many pve applications. Things like trench barrel get an indirect buff along with other perks that mesh well with comboing abilities with gunplay. Also you haven't read the post have you. The idea is that current mobility bonuses like jump height and stafe speed would be given as if everyone has 100 of current mobility bonuses. Thats a huge buff for pve jumping puzzles.
-
But this is the point of it the game has pvp. If the stated buffs are given there would be a very big balance shift in pvp. Which is why they will never buff mobility. Sure it would be fine in pve, but again no necessity of it just like u don't need high recovery. But if they do buff it hunters get very strong in pvp. And that's what u people aren't understanding, balance is a thing bungo tries to keep under control and buffing certain this ruins the pvp aspect, just like how arc titans are ruining pvp now. Now what I truly believe bungo should do is let pvp get crazy out of control and have it be more of a party game then a competitive game, but that won't ever happen because of the sweats. And since that won't happen u won't see a change and shouldn't see a change to mobility.
-
Yeah I'm a warlock main, but it has nothing to do with being a warlock main it has to do with balance. There needs to be some type of negative to balance the mobility stat it can't just be a positive, because that breaks the game. Sure the balance can be a net positive but there needs to be a decrease somewhere or all u will see in the crucible is max mobility hunters who will have better movement then all classes, better ability handling or whatever they want to change mobility to and then they can double up on another ability or intellect. They will just be the better class in all 1 on 1 engagements. They aren't right now and that's because arc titans are stupid busted, but only because they have a dodge an oversheild and Anteus wards. Take juggernaut away and hunters go back to the top for just 1 on 1 engagements.
-
To say you say u supposedly don’t care what happens in pvp u sure seem to be adamant about getting involved with it As to your argument that mobility can’t solely be positive what about resilience? Titans suffered no negatives and there’s the same argument to be made with warlocks albeit on a lesser scale
-
I'm sorry but there is a negative we have class abilities that cannot get spammed every 5 seconds like hunters have. Again pvp is trash and hunters can get God mode for all I care. Once bungo can figure out balance maybe I'll play but that's impossible for this game due to all the variables so I just won't play pvp. And people like u who think things just need to happen for no reason are why pvp is trash. U don't care about balance u just want ur class to be stronger and when that happens u get arc titans. Good luck with the failing destiny pvp though have fun.

Do you really believe a simple hunter dodge gives the same amount of utility value as an infinite healing rift or an aoe hazard wall of instant death? The reason hunter dodge has a short cooldown is because it does nothing aside from making it slightly harder to shoot you during the dodge. The mobility buff wouldnt benefit only hunters. It gives a reason for warlocks and titans to build into mobility for once. Imagine being able to throw more sunbracer buffed nades because you can spam it an extra 1 or 2 times because you built into mobility to throw more one after the other
-
Hunter dodge has a lot of utility. Off the bat it either reloads ur weapon or melee if close. Then u have multiple ways to get invis off of it and it breaks aim assist. Then u have multiple exotics that work extremely well with it. All while it can have a 10 second cd. Dodge is very strong and straight up wins 1 v 1 encounters if used properly, because of all the mobility options it gives.
-
That doesn't explain how making mobility relevant for all classes makes it broken when you have the ability to gain the same exact benefits by building into mobility as well. Not all dodges have invis. And even then, being able to act sooner after an invis dodge wouldn't help anything since doing any action as soon as you can after it would remove invis.
-
Okay, as a person who mains hunter but has played and enjoyed each class, mobility for me has always been less then 100, since it’s purely useless in anything then pvp, but warlocks and titans have better stats overall, since you can ignore mobility, since it doesn’t benefit you or give you negatively disadvantage since it’s basically useless for anyone other then hunter Now, this can be a bit of a option, I do want it to be a bit of movement speed but I also think it should be how others have pointed out dexterity, which I think means that they can use their guns easier and a bunch of other things, but honestly I would like to see hunters move at least a bit faster to compete against the float and lift jump boost

Lmao Hunter dodge is just that rly has monday Utility especially in in capture mode Warlocks sit in their rift with a dmg body or oversold camping Or shotgun ape titans sit behind there shield - especially annoying in trials soo how about u get down off your high horse n stop pretending not to care when u quite evidently do lmao
-
But the difference is I get to use my rift 1 time a round in trials u get to use ur dodge maybe 7 or 8 possibly more. If I use my rift at a bad time a hunter may win the next engagement due to the fact they have a dodge available that can do a multitude of different things based on exotic usage. Name 4 exotics that will help a warlock in his neutral game, that are better then wormhusk, Gemini jesters, sixth coyote, Bakris, bombardiers. All of those exotics work with dodge and have an uptime of 12 seconds max and can be much lower except bakris i believe and they all have pretty strong effects tied to them.
-
That’s the whole point of the classes having different abilities if your poorly timing your rift placements that’s got no correlation to why hunter doge should be nerfed just because you’re bad?
-
That hypothetical you used is literally a skill issue. Basically: if i use my rift without thinking and the hunter uses their dodge with thinking then i unfairly lose.
-
That logic would apply the same for the titan wall with the resil rework. Titan barricade is only a few seconds longer than a hunter dodge, and look how many utility and freebies it gives them. Yet 0 impactful nerfs to barricade. This change would also allow a way to nerf them for having low mobility, which in turn causes slower actions after an ability. Your reason is basically that mobility is supposed to be dead stat.
-
No my reasoning is that dodge is really good as is and mobility doesn't need to be changed at all. All resilience does in pvp is make u live an extra bullet against a very little amount of weapons which isn't the best. Also barricade doesn't come back in 10 seconds like dodge and with some builds u have dodge at all times. Yes barricade comes back fast, but most of the time u won't see titans spamming it even if they have max resilience. Hunters have dodge during 85% of their engagements maybe more and adding something that makes that even better would make hunter very broken as a class. And if they nerf hunter dodge then sure nerf titan dodge as well make them both have the same cooldown as Phoenix protocol then u can have ur mobility buff.
-
Thats the thing tho. It would not buff or change anything about dodge at all. If anything it would only make the dodge faster which barely changes its effectiveness. The change i proposed is mobility into relevance for all classes. Its like saying recovery shouldnt give any benefit for anyone because rift already gives the best healing or resil shouldnt help anyone with damage resist because barricade already make titans invulnerable to damage when they stand behind it.
