It's blatantly obvious at this point where all the time and effort and resources have been going... and for a long time, towards a game that I doubt many people are going to play and for not nearly as long as they have played Destiny. The dedicated servers everyones been wanting for years? Marathon is getting it. All while destiny is slowly dying and having more server issues then ever. Destiny could have been so much better if you hadn't given up, it's the perfect game and you ruined it with your laziness and greed. Just think of how much better this game could be if they put all their focus into it... the ignorance and stupidity is staggering at that studio.

Who in their right mind buys Marathon after trying Destiny 2’s PVP. They should put that game on hold and actually fix their current game’s PVP. They clearly don’t have the capability to work on more than 1 game at a time.

That ship has sailed many years ago.

Man now they moving topics about destiny to off topic :p gg mods✌️

It’s not like they’ve had 10 years to make Destiny good or anything. No, it’s definitely Marathon’s fault.

Bearbeitet von Adam_Clockwork: 5/28/2023 1:52:53 AMHere is what I see somewhat for all this yes I think its sad knowing Bungie is putting more effort into Marathon than Destiny but we've been provided that they did had an idea with all their content but either have been force to release the content to soon or just ran out of time somewhat. I don't agree though that Bungie majorly put their main dev team from their PvP side from Destiny to Marathon since I am sure they possibly worked much harder finding issues or trying to make balance a few things by communicating with their team. Yet as we also know Bungie didn't want to deal with Quantity Over Quality stuff that they believe rushing everything now is the best way to appeal the player base (Even though no matter what they do they will get hate) when overall the gaming community is a mess with most people hating on everything. You could release a game to early getting more back lash about it, or you could delay the game to make sure it works correctly almost every time someone plays yet the player base will still find ways to find what's wrong with the game just so they have something to talk about.

I'm sure the billions of dollars they've made doesn't mean anything to them because some random on the forums doesn't think their game is perfect.

Well take your time, it might come to you eventually.

I mean you really felt it already back in 2020 that most talent of the dev team shifted to other projects. And thats really a shame. They should have mixed it better. They should have hired tons of new devs for their new upcoming games and filled the senior lead slots for the new games with talented existing devs from the D2 team. Instead it feels like they shifted every single competent dev from their most successful flagship IP to work on a potential flop of a new game that isnt established, has a very hit or miss genre (extraction shooter) and could potentially be a dead game after a month or so. They should have been more caring with their main, very well received existing game. They lost so so many long time players with the massive drop in quality standards. Sadly.

We can see D2 is on a dead end. They can't even create new weapon designs, just keep reusing the old ones. PVP is a mess for so long and no one is fixing it

I’m glad the funds and efforts are going to Marathon. Destiny is getting old and has ran its course.

I was thinking about this today as well. Saw the trailer for the first time and I can tell a few things. Exactly what you mentioned here, and that game will most likely be microtransaction hell, like EA levels or even worse. I see how bad its getting in D2 and you know that is all going to transfer and then some, because its money. Owning a company, or any organization in 2023 basically means "How do we abuse our position and find more ways to rip people off?" Because real business is a dying industry. It is VERY clear Destiny 2 has been on the back burner for years, maybe even since it was created. It would explain why its always been so lacking. I can't argue a passion project, that's fine, but obligations are also a thing. As a developer, obligations generally need to supercede passion, unless they coincide.
-
Destiny has already reached its potential. I don't see it changing much more if they dont move onto D3. Whether that is due to a lack of interest on bungies part or limitations caused by the engine, who knows.
-
Don't worry I'm sure you'll see "free extract carry" services in marathon.
-
Considering I won't be playing the "PVP Extractions Shooter", yeah, its sad to see. It's good that Bungie will have a PVP only game tough. I think that could actually help Destiny a bit. Well, not as much as having actual talent, resources, money, etc. though. Ohh well, 3 Warframes left and I have the whole base set.

I'm fine with it. Let's me know it's time to walk away. Getting my years worth then gone.
