Are you running whisper of fissures? That sometimes causes problems.

The way fissures work is it adds an additional burst of damage along with the normal burst. These two damage at the same time and sometimes it only takes 1 of these 2 bursts to kill. 50% of the time you get kills from original shatter, 50% you get kills from fissures damage. That’s why orb generation sucks with fissures
