We couldn't really tell what happened to cause this. We finished second room Brakion very quickly and then when travelling to the third room we got stuck with this repeated joining allies screen. Once we defeated him we were stuck in the second room and had to replay the mission in order to get me my vexcalibur. The only difference on the second playthrough was we two-phased his second room.
