SBMM Proof

SBMM isn't Working, and I have proof. Here we can see we have some Top .5% players (I understand Destiny tracker isn't what bungie uses, but based on their records this still puts them in the top .5% of players) Going against a bunch of slightly above average players. We waited for about a minute in orbit tops. And only a few people from the match before stayed. This is absurd. From other games, information is known that there is an EXTREME skill gap as you get closer to the top players, as such you often run into cases where you could be 200 ELO below the top 10 players, but never stand a chance. At the same time what is this lobby balancing??????? Bravo Teams average elo is 600 ABOVE our teams? I would get it if the average was between like, 200-300 difference. But 600 is beyond acceptable. I am HAPPY too wait so I can be in a match where in the casual playlist I don't feel the need to sweat myself hypertonic dehydration just to not get absolutely steam rolled and mercy ruled. I'm fine with SBMM, but bungie, SBMM means the playlist is no longer casual, it is ranked, which by definition and nature, is a competitive playlist now. TDM, or any other kill based game modes should be delegated to casual, with MAYBE a light system in place to try and hit a certain win/loss ratio (preferably positive) Ranked or SKILL BASED game modes should be objective based, and y'all used too STOMP at this, what happened? You fixed rift on the second run and it was great! Then you immediately left it for another kill based game mode. What happened to Salvage, or Demolition(I don't remember its actual name in d2), Vault was meh I admit, but why don't we have a true capture the flag? Rift Feels like reverse Capture the flag. Either way, SBMM in CONTROL or the casual playlist is a failure in the current state, and will continue to be so if you think/let this be your balance way. 3000 Elo players should probably not be put in a lobby of 1400-1500, ya know, people, who by ELO's ranking system definitions, are HALF as good. Even then it is likely 2-3 1500's will likely lose most gun fights, and can't farm out the 300-400's that should balance the lobby fast enough to win. Bungie, PLEASE, Fix your fetching game. I love it, I love y'all, but lately you have been letting us down more so than usual in the pvp front. Side note, Bungie basically pioneered voting on maps, why can we not do this anymore? Not only would it give direct feedback on unpopular maps, but it would make waiting in lobbies less impactful as atleast you have something to fill my titan mind besides crayon munching.

  • It's working fine and your just being forced a 50% win rate. If you have legends and flawlesses and above a 1.2kd you play everyone above a 1.2kd with Legends and Flawlesses. You're not just going to play 1.5s... The que times would literally be 30 minutes and as of now all your games are rigged but have an illusion of being close because Bungie knows everything about how you play and your teammates. So when they need you to lose they will find people who can't kill and refuse to cap zones.
