I am trying to play Destiny 2 on Steam. I am told something about Cross Save, when I login to Steam via Cross Save, I get to the screen above and cannot continue.
I have *NO* interest in playing Destiny 2 on any other platform but the continue button is grayed out.
Also, it seems impossible to ignore Cross Save. When I start destiny 2 from Steam, i cannot ignore the Cross Save dialogue: when I hit return, it does not continue into the game.

The notice in-game before you get to the character creation screen is to inform people that intend to use Cross-Save that they should set it up before continuing in order to avoid some mishaps that can occur for people that log in and then enable Cross-Save after the fact, losing things that have been gained on their account. If you don't intend to use Cross-Save and you only plan to play on one platform, you can safely hold in the button to continue through the notification in-game and get to the character creation/select screen. Cross-Save can only be enabled if you have more than one gameplay platform linked to your Bungie.net profile. If you only have one, you can safely continue; you cannot (and don't need to) enable Cross-Save.

If you have no intention to use other platforms for your characters, there is no benefit for you to use cross save. The system will not let you proceed unless you have at least 2 platform accounts linked to your Bungie.net account.

Just play the game.
