I've experienced constant freezing and crashing of Destiny 2 for the past week or so. The game sometimes won't even make it to the character selection screen, and I'm out of ideas. Every other game that I have been playing (God of War, Payday 2, Dragonball Xenoverse 2) have not experienced these crashes even once. I have already:
Deleted the game cache
Uninstalled and reinstalled Destiny 2
Deleted Shader Cache
Verified the files through Steam
Reinstalled my GPU Drivers
Verified that all my system is updated.
I'm not sure what else to do rather than ask if anyone else is having these issues? And any solutions?
Here are my PC specs as well
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600G
RAM: 16GBs
OS: Windows 11 Home
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060

Hi there! If you are currently using 516.40, nVidia Support has reported a known issue with Destiny 2 and this driver. nVidia is requesting users provide additional feedback on this issue, as noted in the post below. Please follow the steps outlined in the post if you want to provide additional information! https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/forums/game-ready-drivers/13/494630/geforce-grd-51640-feedback-thread-released-61522/3261466/ You can also try disabling the shader cache in the nVidia Control Panel. Under Manage 3D Settings, navigate until you find Shader Cache Size. Set this to disabled. Finally, you can roll back the driver to a previous version and see if the issue subsides.

Been having the same issue, the game is unplayable right now.

Hey I was having the same problem. I rolled back to the previous Nvidia driver 512.95 and since yesterday evening Destiny 2 has been working and not freezing/crashing. I had the latest driver 516.40 which was causing the freezing. I think quite a few people are having the same problem and Nvidia is looking into it. Hope this helps. Thanks.
