Every other PVP FPS game implements some sort of invulnerability when spawning to prevent spawn killing. How is getting killed by Golden Gun, only to spawn again and immediately get Golden Gunned again by the exact same person before the game hands back control a good experience? And it's not just with Golden Gun, you can easily get snipped, fusion rifled, or shotgunned down before control is given back to you. As far as I know, the "Shielded" buff when you respawn does absolutely nothing.
People tried to justify spawning back in the middle during Rift when the enemy runner is close to your rift was to prevent spawn killing. Why? A simple 2 seconds of invulnerability after spawning at least gives you a fighting chance. As it stands right now, you have virtually zero percent chance to fight back.

Great point. It's probably 2 people at most working on the "pvp team" for destiny at bungie now. Another 4 on everything else. This game only still exists to siphon resources for the next skinner box ip bungie has in the oven.

This is one of the reasons I only do crucible for the pinnacle and then ignore it the rest of the week, too many times have I been stuck in that animation only to be one shot by the same dude in super or some random who got lucky. There was a time a year back where our teams respawns weren't switching sides on the dreaming city map and 3 voidlocks spawn trapped us, that was the most painful thing Ive experienced.
