Stop making stupid -blam!- decisions after all the money we just forked over for a bullshit season that just fueled the Ability spam even more.

It was honestly not the kind of response I was ever expecting to get. It felt so...passive aggressive. Like he's OVER the -blam!- that shows up on here (understandably) but he has to hold himself back from actually saying it. It's so annoying sifting through the posts on here trying to find something I haven't been reading since 2014. Kinda getting boring around here people! Spice it up a little!

Bearbeitet von Mr Jim Lahey: 5/22/2022 6:36:23 PMIf they took pride in pvp and made it great, pvp would attract far more gamers. PVP rules the market More players will mean more sales which means MORE pve content at a faster rate. Instead we get this… A studio of over 900+ should be able to put together a team of 100 and make pvp great, and that can compete with other PVP games.

Did I miss something? Ive seen a lot of talk the last week of community managers getting mad, or responding to someone on here? What happened?

Why are they getting upset that we don't want to pay them £10 for a set of cosmetics that they maintain is worth £30 in Silver ??, and I cant believe they actually believe that their tat is worth that. I bought Cuphead for £12 when it was on sale. I see that as value, I don't see this upgraded event card as value for money so I wont be buying. I got Cuphead for less money than two emotes in Destiny 2. A full game that has given me hours of enjoyment, and frustration. And keeps me coming back. There is also the fact that the world is in a bit of an economic spiral, whoever sat at Bungie and thought that charging more in an event was already nothing more than a cut and paste excuse for yet more Eververse is going to have people lining up is nuts. Here in the UK my heating costs have more than doubled, food is going up and petrol is so expensive it would be cheaper for me to buy my own oil rig. The "Yeah, but duh it costs less then duh going to the cinema, and I only spent ten minutes on a £30 meal" crowd will of course, buy anything Bungie offered while whining about Dev's and their families being forced into food banks if you don't. As a small business owner I am in the process of lowering prices for my customers, I am taking a hit but they are also hurting. By being loyal to them, and sympathetic to their situation, I am keeping my customers .. and even gaining new ones. When things perk up economically I am going to be better placed than before. Customers ARE my business, without them its not a business. Its just me, my four employees and a lot of expensive kit in a building. Maybe there is something big business can learn from small business owners like me ??, the community managers could certainly learn from the young man who basically runs my business and is someone my customers love dealing with. For a company that always preaches about how much it cares about its community they never fail to grasp a situation to milk yet more out of us. Personally I wont give them anything outside of expansions and seasons .. and will be quite happy to, as DMG puts it, play another game if their greed makes even that simply not worth it anymore. -
What Cummings managers?
-
It's only "MORE for LESS" if they remove content from the normal (free) version of the event and move it to the paid pass. Other wise its MORE for MORE cosmetics. We'll see how bad it really is when Solstice comes out.
-
Only ones upset are the kids who can't use mommy's credit card to get cosmetics. The adults are fine with the cosmetics.
-
Only ones upsets are the kids with no money not understanding its cosmetics and no ones cares Touch some grass kid ,nobody cares about seasonal cosmetics Oh btw ...maybe you need to actually look it up or look at your math skills...because its clearly more for less....

Bearbeitet von Joshazorr: 5/22/2022 12:40:08 PMNow hang on, remember that community managers only exist to relay information from the community to the actual Devs and vise versa. They themselves don't actually have any power to make decisions. Yes I saw his grumpy replies and I too felt that hey this dude needs to simmer down a bit, but he was also giving some good Banta replies later. I think that the CONSTANT negative comments here got to him for a minute that's all
-
Let's not blame the community managers...especially because the community they have to manage is pretty awful to them on the regular for no reason.
-
What happened? I'm very lost and confused.
-
If they were actually trying to create a game and not just look for ways to milk the player base with their cheap throw-away content, I wouldn't mind supporting them. But why pay someone that doesn't want to work? No people, I'm not referring to the devs that have to put up with Bungie BS.

I think Bungie often has unrealistic expectations for the community. The world is a cold place and if criticism from the community bothers you so much maybe this isn't the job for you. You're supposed to act in a professional manner because you're a brand ambassador. Lashing out at that community only ends in a net negative. Maybe, as a professional you can keep your personal feelings out of it, like an adult. That's my rant about the CM. I agree with you Guardian.
-
Bad take... Community managers are employees of Bungie that play the game as we do and get paid to communicate with us and to us, look at these forums we're not nice people... I can not imagine any of the community managers caring if we buy cosmetics or not. I am no Bungie defender but don't attack anyone who's hasn't thrown the first stone.
-
We pay with our money, don’t buy the pass. Its really simple. Let the YouTubers and streamers be the suckers that purchase that stuff
-
Who got upset?
-
look at the angry baby who has no clue what community managers do. cosmetics are already for sale currently. no one is going to make you buy them, unbunch your diaper.

Twitter drama?

The angst is strong with this one. I just got discredited in another thread because I said abilities are stronger in D2, and that's heresy to the sacred D1.
