There’s no reason a shotgun should be out ranging a fusion rifle. Getting one shot from ridiculous ranges (especially Chaperone) is really making it hard to run other weapons. All I’m asking for a slight nerf to their range

The ONLY shotgun that can perhaps "outrange" a fusion (and that's still kind of a laughable assertion) would be Chaperone + Roadborn + Luna rift. Even then, the right fusion can easily outrange it.

Tbh what makes shotguns the best is how fast a person can move wit them. So if you nerf the range people just going to run faster and in shorter lanes. The maps in destiny 2 are also really small except for like widow, fortress, and altar. But even those maps have their own places with close range areas. Also nerfing shot gun range would prob just make those best of archetype shotguns even stronger like how with chaperone becoming more popular after the last shotgun nerf

There is not a shotgun in the game that can outrange fusions, even Chaperone with Roadborn active is still at the very bottom end of Fusion range.

Just give us maps that match the playlist and modes first. Nerfing weapons cannot keep happening if other things don’t get adjusted.

Ok...then make it so that fusion rifles can only charge up if the player is moving forward. I only ever see fusion rifle users backpedaling

Only shotguns that can outrange any fusion are slug shotties, mostly just chappy. Used fractethyst for the last few days and I can confirm that it it 100% countered by fusions Chappy is the fusion counter, but it also is just broken too

Pfftttttt shotguns have very poor range compared to fusions. Maybe you just need to get better and quit bot walking around corners.

What shotguns need to be onto of you to one shot now so if they have range problems (which they don't) it is because you are letting people get too close to you. That means you are using poor tactics.

I understand Chaperone needs to be held to the range cap. But no shotgun in Destiny 2 is going to outrange a Fusion, bar Roadborn MAYBE. Fusions bottom out at around 16 meters, slugs are capped to 12, where Chaperone I believe is base 13 because it doesn't follow the cap.

Shotguns dont outrange fusion rifles, you are using fusion rifles in shotgun range which is a skill issue. Shotgun range is fine. Yes the game has small maps with close engagements but being expected to stay outside of a OHK range of 6-7 meters is not a tall order.

No shotgun except chappy has a range of a fusion... Pellets ranges are around 7/8m at max. Slugs are around 12/15m except chappy that can reach 20m with roadborn. Only way to boost these ranges is lunafaction boots but even then it won't work for pellets. Strongest fusion range can be anywhere between 20/30m. So yeah shotguns don't have fusion range.
