After shatterdive goes away hunters most likely won't be able to keep up with all the trickery the other two classes have. Its going to be rough.

I think all abilities are going to get hit with the PvP nerf bat. Arc Soul will probably have its buff undone, not sure how they'll approach Stag Rifts honestly but I dont see those staying as-is if Shatterdive gets whomped.
-
Yeah. I'm pretty sure most of the most obvious stuff will get tuned down. And I'm personally ready for shatterdive to get nerfed because its taking too much attention away from other things that people should be discussing.
-
Hunters have always been competitive in pvp long before stasis and most likely will remain that way.
-
Bearbeitet von A_mo: 10/16/2021 1:24:25 PMOh I'm sure they'll remain competitive. Its just look at the things the other two have in terms of stuff you can stand in and stand behind and that the whole team can use and that ohk's. Hunters don't really have any of that stuff. And they can't more because of the ways peoples' brains work than anything.
-
We’ll just have to see how Bungie approaches balancing shatterdive. Ideally they aim to balance it instead of breaking it.
-
Bearbeitet von A_mo: 10/16/2021 1:30:23 PMYou know what's weird? I don't even use it all that much. Its generally more of a problem in the hands of top tier players. Its just that hunters can't even have one thing like that simply because more people play on hunters and they only have one thing like that. If as many people played on Warlocks as played on Hunters stag rift would have never left the studio. It just sucks. Do I sound fake depressed enough?
-
I can see that. People seem to forget that we don’t have an even distribution of players across the three classes; hunters are the most popular and naturally hunters and Hunter abilities are going to be seen more. This also doesn’t help that hunters were built with PvP in mind, as stated by Bungie. Moreover some also seem to forget people play on more than 1 class; for instance I’m a Titan main, but I’ve been playing a lot more stasis Hunter this season.
-
Yeah, most people play all classes but hunters still get more "hate" than the other two. I started trying to make a warlock and the one thing that I notice about them is that even though people say their jump sucks it really doesn't. You just have to perform it perfectly every single time so its one of those things that the more you do it the better you actually are with it, which is appealing. The ranking up and character management thing is what stops me from fully committing. My Destiny plate is already really full and I just can't imagine adding the effort required to manage another character when I'm most likely going to be trying to reduce the objectively ridiculous amount of time that I play this game around when WQ comes out. Probably won't be able to fully commit to that reduction either though.

I find it funny you thing shattered dive will bury hunters lol hunter by far are the most annoying to fit with or without shatter dive
-
The annoying stuff about hunters doesn't really kill you unless you just can't help but to press the issue. That's why I like playing on them and one of the things I liked about stasis actually is that a lot of the kills you get your opponent kind of has to put themselves in that position. And I think that's one of the reasons that so many people hate hunters is because a lot of the time there's a little tinge in the back of their brain that lets them know they didn't have to keep pushing forward and trying for what is often a pretty easy kill they were trying to get. I will always remember freezing roaming supers with glacial grenades once they stop letting that happen because most of the time if people just stopped pushing forward they wouldn't have gotten frozen.
-
You think so? I dont think of Hunters as such a one-trick pony, even with Shatterdive's prevalence.
-
Bearbeitet von A_mo: 10/16/2021 6:55:28 AMIts just that compared to the other two classes they'll be stuck in a time warp from D1. And yes I blame Titan and Warlock mains for this.
-
Admittedly an unexpected answer for me haha, but an answer nonetheless
-
I guess it may not be how everyone looks at it. But at the same time how often do you hear hunter mains complaining about they want this and that and gimmie a version of what that class has? People who main the other two classes do that all the time and they get it.
-
Admittedly, I cant agree with that but that is what it is. You mentioned Shatterdive earlier, are you in favor of how it currently sits with the rest of the sandbox?
-
I'm not the biggest fan of the current sandbox with all the ohk so yes and no. With everything else thats going on a lot of the time I feel that its basically justified.
-
I have to agree that theres all too much ohk, and while I'm gonna out myself as a Titan main here, Warlock stasis is one of the stupidest examples in my opinion. I just think that stasis in genedal has made my Crucible experience worse. Not saying it needs to go, but I'm not its biggest fan
-
I like stasis but I can admit it has its issues. Or had at least. It doesn't really seem too bad these days since the only things that really freeze are supers and glacial grenades. The glacial grenades will probably eventually get weakened and I will admit that someone nonchalantly running around and killing two people at once with shatterdive in trials certainly doesn't help the mode feel competitive. But the supers are basically like other supers except for you get frozen first. I can admit that it was pretty over the top for most of the year but it sure was nice to be able to stop some of the ohk stuff and things that I personally think are cheesy even if no one else does. I used to call it "cold justice." But everything isn't for everyone. That's the thing, no has to like everything.
