What the hell is "living your life like an island"? I'd Google it, but after spending most of the day trying to find UPS' direct HR line, I'd rather not
English
-
It means living life in isolation
-
I see. That doesn't sound like a bad thing to me. People suck...
-
It’s ok when you are not in the business of empire building. I’m trying to change my name to Caesar
-
-
Oh my gosh… I hate it when you go through five waiting things and then they hang up mid sentence
-
Bruh! I got hung up on 3 different times because I didn't select a prompt -- which I didn't do 'cause non of them were applicable to my situation. Why do companies make it so difficult to talk to a human especially if you're an employee of said company? I'm probably going to get fired now, but whatever.
-
And you work for the company!? Man I don’t like UPS my packages from them have been disappearing lately
-
It would probably arrive broken anyways... I don't know if you saw that thread I made about two months back about how Amazon's QC is iffy at best, but UPS takes it up a notch. Throwing boxes on the conveyor any kind of way 'cause -blam!- "fragile", "this side up", do not lay flat", "don't drop" et cetera. Trying to meet performance expectations by literally making towers of boxes collapse on the conveyor. All in the name of getting a package to someone on time... Getting there on time is important, but I'd say getting there in one piece is equally important.
-
True that! I’d rather wait an extra week than have it come early but broken.
-
Wow man, that sucks
-
It is what it is. I only just started anyways and even when I applied I knew I didn't want to be there. Literally went from one warehouse drone job to another. -blam!- is mad unsafe too. I was unloading a trailer and let's just say safety seems to be an after thought despite them claiming otherwise...
