Hard disagree. You mentioned new players a few times . Anybody coming to destiny I assume already has a background in shooters . Good enough to fend ok In crucible . And if they don’t , Pve is more than a ouch practice. I know this because both my wife AND her sister never play shooters . But when we play crucible they can both do well enough to add to the team or even be a mid board player.
Sbmm has been proven by tons of tubers and streamers to be a volition system that creates boring meta periods . Right now the meta is fine , every weapon can compete . Hunters are still the pvp gods and continue to be the main choice but the guns are fine. I promise you if we were to see destiny 2 incorporate sbmm into pvp right now you would see an immediate new meta form . 3/6 stacks of stasis hunters with vex mythoclast and some special.
I like being able to use multiple weapons so no thank you.

Bro. I said a "loose" SBMM, or maybe some kind of hybrid. We just need to get as many players playing Crucible, and do whatever we can to keep them playing. And obviously with all the people that have tried to play the Crucible once or twice and got fed up and left what you can't be the case. But anyways... I'm just trying to help EVERYONE. I think me and this guy I've been responding too on another post have some pretty good ideas. He says he absolutely wants lobby balancing to be fixed first. And that makes sense somewhat. Especially since we don't have a ton of Crucible players and neither SBMM or CBMM is going to work well with the lower than needed numbers we have right now. And we came up with an idea about putting in a SBMM that's only for new players... For a certain time period. Like for 50 games completed. Or 60 hours of Crucible play. And then throw them in the regular matchmaking. Or maybe put in a training mode with bots or something. Yeah several ideas. Just trying to find something that helps out the Crucible the best in the long run.
