And no, I'm not talking about the Bottom Dollar drop chance.
1- Teleporting Enemies & Bank Lagging
While in other Activities having enemies teleporting here and there is not such a problem (as annoying as it is), in Gambit it rappresents a big issue. In a mode where being fast to clean adds has a major role, having enemies popping here and there, teleporting, not registering damage after using precious Special Ammo on them (or even Heavy or Super) or having death animation delayed, is a main problem. Not to mention when you suddenly find yourself sorrounded by enemies popping out from nowhere with the risk to die and lose Motes...
Also, with the "enemies teleporting" problem another one is appeared out of nowhere: the Bank is terribly laggy. Sometimes you can't bank, sometimes you kill the Blockers and the Bank needs a couple of second to pop out, sometimes you bank Motes in the exsact moment opponents summon a blocker and even if you complete you bank animation you simply lose your Motes.
2- Motes that can't be picked...
I remember that Bungie talked about this in the past about WHY Motes seem to have a weird kinda of physics and why it seems that we can't pick them immediately. This must end. This not only create problems for those who are trying to collect Motes, but also problem of coordination among the teams during the clean/collection phase. It's absurd to see my character standing upong 5 Motes for 3-4 seconds BEFORE they get picked up.
3- Boss Melting
After years of Gambit it's kinda silly to see that this is still a problem. Opponet Team Summons the Primevil and ten seconds after it is already dead... ten seconds. TEN. SECONDS.
This is being a problem since the first days of Gambit and still we don't have a solution. Boss Melting MUST be stopped somehow.

Bearbeitet von Squirrels, Kell of Acorns: 3/17/2021 9:43:57 PM1. I’d like to see Primeval health return to immune phases again and three specifically. At initial spawn two envoys must be killed before damage can be dealt. At second immunity phase there are four envoys, at the last phase there are six envoys. Invader kills should respawn an envoy up to the max of the damage phase as well as heal the primeval. Primeval healing to previous immune phase retriggers that immune phase. 2. Invading should have more of a cost risk. The portal should give the invader benefits based on amount of motes being held. At 5 motes you can invade but at half the time. 10 motes allows you the full invasion time. At 15 motes you gain the previous benefits but are granted the invader overshield. If the invader is killed they lose their motes to the other team as if they are like an additional high value target. During Primeval phase the envoys drop motes to allow for invasions (5 motes per envoy) other taken drop one mote. Motes used to invade are emotes from the Invader upon return if they happen not to be killed by the opponents.

Wrong. My 3 main issues with Gambit: 1. My teammates are terrible 2. My teammates are terrible 3. My teammate wants to bank 15 motes so badly that he'll literally full send it and die instantly.
-
What, you mean you don't like having your prime up first and for waaaay longer only for the enemy team to drop they're prime pretty much instantly with out casting a single super. Can't win a single match because of this BS. The way to fix it is to bring back the health gates like in gambit prime, it will give the other team at least a better chance of making a come back

Atypical Typo
You're true Gaurdian Angle! - alt
4- shitty drop rates like DAMN -
Unbalanced pve enemies, the PVE side of things feels so inconsistent.

This supposed hybrid form of gambit and gambit Prime they came up with doesn't work. Any veteran gambit player will tell you that Prime was the best version. There was some actual drama to the games. As a player that actually likes gambit, the changes Bungie made to it are a slap in the face to all the Reckoners out there. But you make good points about issues plaguing the gambit version we do have. I feel sorry for the new players who started with this version of gambit. All it has become is a farm for the Bottom Dollar. They need to bring back the old school weapons as drops now that Sunsetting is history and revert back to Gambit Prime as the lone version. Prime armor should be replaced with Mods you gain from rank up.
-
Heres my 2 issues with gambit. They simply ruined the game mode outright and My team mates are always braindead cucumbers. Used to love gambit, now its just a painful annoying way to get a pinnacle

Bearbeitet von ForkedTail: 3/16/2021 3:09:52 AM#4 Enemies stop spawning and leaves the team unable to catch up or invade. edit: It seems to always be at the rig on Titan for me.
-
Imma add another problem heavy being able to to use while invading. Anyone who invades will have xenophage, eyes of tomorrow, or truth. I hate that heavy can be used while invading. They already have so many advantages taking away heavy while invading wouldn't hurt anyone. You'll have to rely on your special or you scout rifles.
-
I think gambit need variety. Imagine mayhem gambit or boss fight gambit, were 2 teams compete to kill all 5 gambit bosses. Killing envoys drops charges that let you either invade, resupply some of your ammo and super energy, or send blockers that buff the enemy boss. Also they need to increase the amount of motes to summon a prime evil and spread out the invasions more.
-
Just bring back Prime, the actually prime evil was far superior to this shite we have now.
-
I blame the exotic Titan chest piece. Insta melts!! NERF IT!! lol in all seriousness, you can only name 3? You are much too kind. I can name a few hundred, and that's being generous
-
They can easily fix Gambit by adding Overload Captains. All ads become Overload Captains and it will become the most played game mode of D2.
-
For invaders, they need to reduce the overshield. To prevent Boss melting, they should focus more heavily on the Buff you get from killing the wizards. Have the wizards spawn more quickly after the previous ones go down. (Every 20 seconds) and make the 3rd-10th ones a little more tanky. Reduce the damage you do to primevals without a buff and have it be based entirely on the buff. Start at 1% and gain +10% damage for each buff stack you have.
-
1: Truth(Exotic Rocket Launcher that will bank 90-degree corners to kill which is annoying in Gambit) 2: Eyes Of Tomorrow(DSC drop will shot crap tons of rockets and takes 1-2 to kill a person) 3:Swords

Bearbeitet von H80sReject: 3/13/2021 6:40:39 PMI think they need to add a 3 second timer for when motes first appear. What I mean by this is that the person that lands the killing blow or does the majority of the damage should have first chance at the motes. I wouldn't suggest this if there weren't challenges, bounties, etc for the individual, but since this is the case I think this is a reasonable suggestion unless Bungie changes these challenges to a team effort as opposed to individual. There's nothing more irritating than destroying an enemy only for some greedy teammate to steal the work that you put in. Like I said this could be fixed if motes weren't for individual purposes, but I'd prefer the timer.
-
Balance invaders.

Bearbeitet von Viguier: 3/15/2021 12:04:30 PMI love Gambit, but in its current version the game is decided in the 2 first minutes by who invade first. I also don't understand why when i play PVP everyone i met are super skilled players with F-22 pilote reflexes and Borg's coordination, but my teammates in Gambit are brainless potatoes who do not bank when we have enough motes to invade and prefer dying with 14 motes than banking 10. Heavy ammo are also way to decisive. That's normal to make mistake in Gambit, everyone does, but players could do some efforts. Right now players are way to incompetent or way too good.
-
1. Eyes of tomorrow 2. Eyes of tomorrow 3. Eyes of tomorrow
-
Or when your invader invades with 15 motes and using a sidearm.... invader down, bringing him back.
-
Bungie has heard you loud and clear and they are putting an imune phase in all primeval.
-
Bearbeitet von AbsolutZeroGI: 3/15/2021 8:32:31 AMYour third point is hella valid. I grinded all day to get the Titan exotic chest plate so I could stack up and thundercrash. Even though I hardly play gambit, our little stack won something like 13 of 17 games or something ridiculous like that and I got to reset in under 5 hours. It's absurd and it felt like cheating. Get a x4 envoy stack and 4 thundercrash titans and it's basically game over.
-
You forgot heavy ammo. Everyone has it all the time and imo it drags the whole game down.
-
&@%£ gambit!!!

Yeah, Boss melting is kinda OP.

I am loving gambit right now. But that may be due to my extreme luck with RNG. Because this is my haul from this week alone https://imgur.com/a/3oX6CyQ
