Help with Ace of Spades
Hi gang!
So I need some help with this ace of spades quest thing. Me and my friend have been in the process of doing all the campaigns and right now we be on … or should I just say we’ziz be just finished … the forsaken campaign. Now we is working the AoS quest for caydes pew pew and we are having issues. The issue is that we are both OFM (old f@#$%^& men) … or at least old compared to you grade school kiddies and we just can’t twitch through some of the quest pieces like you neonates and your super video game skills can. The part of the quest where you get 25 PvP kills with headshots with a hand cannon is just where the line is drawn. I can barely get 8 kills in a match using Witherhoard never mind making a headshot on a toon being played by a sugar bloated 9 year old screaming that they tea-bagged my mom at the top of their lungs while they lay waste to the whole map. I tried 3 separate times for an hour and didn’t get one single headshot kill … I got regular kills with the cannon but not a single one that counted towards the quest. Me and my friend even tried to do a private Crucible map to shoot each other in the face and that didn’t work.
It’s frustrating that we be literally just stuck due to physical limitations. It’s not like we just need to find some friends online to help … I don’t think having any number of friends will help with this. Any suggestions?

Me super bad at pvp. So i never play it. But .. I love Ace of Spades. So ... Took my Erian's Vow. Got into rumble. And farmed headshots. Took a while ( like one or two per match) but i eventually done it. Now i gave ace and fully masterworked catalyst and nice skin too. So stop reading, and go working

My go to for hand cannon headshots is- •Precision Targeting on Helmet •Headshot with Le Monarque (super forgiving hitbox, plus it's a lightweight frame) •Follow up with Dire Promise/Old Fashioned with snapshot •Enhanced Hand Cannon dexterity mod on the leg armor It's insane how fast you can drop other guardians in quickplay

I suggest a bow and Erianas Vow or any hand cannon. Use quick access sling mod on the bow, get a body and switch to get the headshot. It’s going to take practice but it’s fun.

You almost certainly don't have physical limitations that are keeping you from getting 25 hand cannon kills in the next two weeks. You may have addressable issues such as lack of experience, lack of knowledge, etc. You can do this with some effort. Here are some thoughts... Go watch some PVP hand cannon videos on YouTube. This will give you the idea of how to play with a hand cannon. Pick a good hand cannon and stick with it. Crimson (with catalyst would make this easy), Dire Promise, Spare Rations, etc. You can even use 180's. You might even try one with rampage or kill clip to make this a little easier. Crimson is probably the easy mode option if you don't have a lot of hand cannon experience. Use the right build. Use precision targeting mod(s), hand cannon re-loader, hand cannon dexterity, etc. This isn't necessary, but it doesn't hurt. Since you are struggling with 1v1...follow teammates around and steal kills/shoot who they are shooting. Get head shots. Since you'll be shooting targets that have already taken damage, this could help Commit to hand cannons. Don't give up and play most of every match with an AR or Witherhoard or whatever. Use your hand cannon. Make sure your sensitivity isn't too high. Now is not the time to play shotgun ape on maximum sensitivity. You can do it. Even if you get 1 kill per match, at 4 matches per hour that's between 6 and 7 hours. At two per match it is around 3 hours. You can easily do this in a day or two.

7 AntwortenI'm 43 and this quest isn't that hard to do. Not sure how old you are. If you aren't that skilled in PvP, you can't expect it to be easy. Its all about team shooting and stealing the head shot kill. Crimson could help. So can eriannas vow. A high impact HC with opening shot could help. Lucky pants could help too. If you want more PvP tips, let me know.

Never mind losing, never mind how many kills per match, just only use a Handcannon & if you get 1 HC crit kill per game, it’s gonna advance eventually Top Tip Use a [b]Crimson[/b]! (With completed catalyst if possible) Both you & your buddy should be team shooting together (one weakens the opponent, the other gets the crit kill....then swap over fireteam roles)

If you are not using an exotic hand cannon put the targeting adjustment mod on gun. On your arms put on fast reloading for hand cannon mod. On your chest put unflinching hand cannon mod. Don’t play late at night when the good players are playing. Use darker shaders on armor and don’t use a flashy helmet. Follow your team member and try to kill an opponent that is engaging them sometimes and other times just head towards the circle and shoot like hell😉. The gun is well worth it, don’t give up!

Try Crimson. Or if you like sniping than use Eriana’s Vow.

If you don’t have crimson then try the handcannon that works for you. Avoid anything that takes away from precision damage like explosive rounds, timed payload which is explosive, etc.

My brother who I just convinced to play a month ago literally sent me a text a few days ago saying he couldn't complete that step either, it's not just you. He tried for an two hours and got...1 kill. He really wants that gun before titan goes. I'll honestly probably end up doing it for him, he's not a big PvP player. For a beginner 25 precision kills seems impossible, for an average player that is only a few games. PvP is one of those things, you aren't going to become even a beginner at it until you have a good 8-16 hours into it. Learning the maps, having a feel for spawns and lanes, and then even just forming some strategy to engage players. Takes time man. If you have one, I suggest a 110 hand cannon with opening shot and rampage and put a targeting adjuster mod on it. Makes the first shot veryyy forgiving. Find a team mate and follow them and try and get those team shot kills. 110 hit hard enough you can clean people up usually with only one or two shots. Hand cannons biggest strength is peek shooting. Fire a shot take cover. Peek out, shoot take cover. That is how you win duels in 1v1 with hc.

If you go into Momentum Control when it's in rotation with a high impact Hand Cannon, you might be able to one shot people easier. Unfortunately, there isn't really a sure fire way of going about the Crucible step. Alternatively, I believe the quest for Ace is being removed with the DCV. You could take a chance and wait until that happens and see what Bungie does to let people get Ace. I know that sounds vague and unhelpful, but unfortunately Bungie isn't going into detail about the DCV. Good luck with finishing the quest.

It's easier to do in the Iron Banner grandpa. That's where I completed mine. Le Monarque with a quickdraw 150 hand cannon does the job nicely. The Ikelos hand cannon with rangefinder is perfect for this as well. Don't give up, you got this.

You could always hire legion farm to take care of that step or the rest of the quest for the gun for a decent price. Just saying that’s an option, I was out of town and away from my console and I had hired them to help with my last word quest and when I got home it was completed.

Head into Momentum Control as headshots are very lethal there; any handcannon can do there as they will often two-tap to the head while Erianna's one-taps.

Use crimson, aim for upper body 👌or use any hand canon, aim for the head and shoot. To begin with you will die a ton of times but keep doing it, don't get frustrated and naturally you will learn to aim for the head without thinking about it and gradually get quicker and therefore become a better player over time. Up to you, get ace now and quick or become a better player in the long run. I've struggled of late as I havnt played the game for months and my aim is pretty shit atm so may have to do this myself. I did it ages ago and became a better player, not godly but I improved where i was happy enough playing crucible regularly.

Hey there! So, first good luck on trying to get your ace. I very much sympathize with you as yes, some of the younger generation are very gifted and are hard to play against. It's quite the feat right now with a lot of people in pvp being just people who like the mode. The best times for trying to really do some of these PVP quest lines is generally at the beginning of a season. You want to do that then because then you have more of a casual pool that tends to play PvP around that time, and thus they tend to be a little bit easier to fight against. Versus right now, where The chances of you facing off against the crazy players are a little higher since it's the end of the season. Are there certain types of handcannons that you might be better with? 140s as of right now are a little challenging to use, and really are only good in the hands of people who can effectively use cover. for solely just trying to get Ace, a good hand cannon that has high ease of use and can do pretty decent is crimson. It's a little weird to fire first but once you get it down it can wreck and can hang pretty well against auto rifles because of the health recovery. Another good ease of use hand cannon that can be pretty effective are 180s with explosive payload. The rate of fire really messes with people, and it causes them to miss hits a lot. Most 150's right now will be able to do well. A high stability role dire promise with rangefinder can do well, a spare rations with rapid hit does wonders. Either one of these two right now I suggest getting their rate of fire down in PvE and then once you have it going back into PVP. I would also try to go for a little bit less so during the night time and if you can a little bit towards midday. Generally around the night time you'll start to get the super crazy people who are really really good, And in mornings you have a high chance of running into a streamer like true vanguard... Which is very fun to play against I must say. If all else doesn't work, then it might just take you some more time, and that is okay. You might not be able to get immediately, but you will eventually get it.
