It's a total shit show. I can't understand players who take D2 PvP seriously. I'll play occasionally with clanmates and friends but it's too janky and inconsistent. Refusing to use dedicated servers just shows greed combined with stinginess. A triple A game, full $60 price tag with some of the most expensive dlc, as expensive cosmetic micro transactions and seasonal battle passes went the cheapest bargain-basement route with P2P instead of dedicated servers. It's disgraceful.

    Depends on what ‘CoD’ you’re talking about Activision have different tick rates & servers for different modes & games [i]So a 12hz server means the server will [b]update[/b]12 times a second, whereas a 60hz server means the server will update every 1/60th of a second. A lower tick rate means the game essentially is slower is updating what's happening on other peoples screens, meaning it is possible they see see a tick before you see them. The higher the tick rate, the more frequent the update and so me seeing you on my screen 0.016s after you see me is much better than a delay of 0.08s. So the better the tick rate, the quicker the game updates for all users, reducing this information lag. [/i] So [b]CoD Warzone[/b] = 22Hz (although it’s been reported as high as 50Hz in USA) [spoiler]Netduma images show that US servers have a 50hz Host Tickrate in Warzone. And in some Multiplayer Servers 120hz too... I think its about the half of that what the Router Shows you.. we know 6v6 is 60hz.. i would asume warzone is about 20-25Hz[/spoiler] guess there’s different rules for some countries 🤷🏻‍♂️ [spoiler]I'm slowly starting to think that Activision & the developers whitelist certain YouTubers to promote the game. 🤔[/spoiler] [b]CoD:MW[/b] regular private matches are 12Hz [b]CoD:MW[/b] Custom (Gamebattle Integration) has 60Hz [b]Black Ops 4[/b] went from 60Hz in Beta to 20Hz release (and back up to 60Hz in some modes) [b]Apex[/b] used to be 20Hz (not sure now) Dedicated Server games like [b]Titanfall 2[/b] & [b]Battlefield 1[/b] have 60Hz servers For example, the standard matchmaking servers in [b]CS:GO[/b] run on 60 tick, and the competitive ESEA private servers run on 128 tick. Most players who pay for access to those servers cannot go back to playing on lower tick, because the game just feels unresponsive to their inputs.

  • Nobody in the general gaming community ever has nor will take Destiny pvp seriously. The tryhards have nothing else in their life so they stomp to feel something...it gets them through to the next day.

  • Free to try or from wikipedia, shareware where free players have limited functionality if you don't buy the full version with insanely high microtransaction price tag where one set of cosmetic costs you as much as a season pass. DLC + season pass + microtransaction? That's going full greedy there

  • Not limited? I can't have a lot of exotic because I don't buy forsaken and shadowkeep, I wasn't able to play the sundial because I didn't buy the season pass, I can't play any strike or raid from DLC and being able to use the decoder after doing the quest remains to find out so it's very limited. If you want to say not limited at all, look at warframe where I have every single content from story to gears available without paying

  • Not for me. Predatory monetization started in D1 with Eververse. That wasn't and still isn't free-to-play.

  • Yeah, it’s hard to believe. I could respect it more if they just said “yeah, we wanted to keep costs down, so we used a hybrid p2p setup.” Instead, they tried to convince everyone that their setup is better than dedicated servers, when it very clearly is inferior.
