Pls bungie drop the update for beyond light 24 hours before the release because not everyone can download 70gb in 10 hours or if they're at work, pls make it 24 hours before the release so i can download it and be ready right when it launches i really don't want to miss the release for it

It would be helpful... until 2 hrs in when servers go down like last year
-
Servers are going to crash on launch anyway so no one will be playing it 😂😂
-
Bungie announced over the summer that they would allow for pre loading the night before its launch.
-
Just wake up your device while you're at work...non issue.
-
Get ready for same BS excuse. “We are experiencing large numbers of player we did not expect”.
-
You’re most likely not going to be able to log on for another 5 hours after release.
-
Why does it matter? Servers are gonna crash and the game will be unplayable for about the first 5 hours
-
It would be so funny if we managed to crash the servers again during the Fall DLC for the second year in a row.
-
Also. If I am correct. D2 current ps size is north of 100gs. So it should actually be quicker.

Bearbeitet von ironcitysteelers: 10/24/2020 4:17:25 PMIf I’m correct your on ps? If so each time we have to download a patch, the “copy” part is essentially reinstalling the entire game. This is why the copy takes so long. I don’t think it will take any longer than normal. From a site on the matter. So, your PS4 has downloaded the update file for, say, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. It then needs to install it, and it does this by basically copying the whole game file, and adds the patch in the process. The benefit of this method is that it helps to prevent file corruption.

70gb 10hours? Mine would take 45 mins 🤷♂️ I think it’s time to upgrade.
-
I no want server overload at launch So no
-
I mean... sure but you do know that nobody is gonna be playing it right at release, right? 😆
-
-
Even though it doesn't effect me releasing 24 or 10 hours before, I think thats a reasonable request honestly.
-
Just download more bandwidth
-
I'm really glad the tech Guy came last week to install the high quality connection. Now i download 80 go in less than 30 min. Anyway, i know your pain because i had a not so good connection before. I upvote. 24 hours seems good for everyone.
-
Not sure if I’m even going to download it on PS4. I’ll probably just wait the extra day and do it for PS5.
-
Welp, it won't matter to me anyway. I'm getting the xbox series x so I have to re-download everything.

Hi there, If you'd like to suggest they change the time for the Beyond Light pre-download, I'd suggest posting in the #Feedback forum. In there, you'll be able to get the attention of the Bungie staff who look at player feedback the most. The #Help forum is for people who are having issues with or questions about Destiny. Thanks!
