I’ll probably get a lot of shit for this, but I almost forgot that Deej worked for Bungie. We don’t see, or hear from him all that much ever since the “The Endgame is Friendship” fiasco of 2017, with Cozmo and Dmg04 more or less taking over as the public faces ( and voices ) of Bungie.
All the same, I’m shocked to hear he’s leaving, and I wish him well in all his future endeavours.

What happened with that?

Curse of Osiris was widely panned as being short, and awful. And Destiny 2 Christmas event for 2017 was underwhelming, and micro transaction heavy. And, the Remove Eververse movement had gain peak traction. And Deej got a lot of shit from the community because of this statement. He stopped writing the weekly TWAB’s after that. I heard a rumour that he was promoted to being in Charge of the ‘Help’ forums, so apparently that’s where he’s been hiding these last few years. Of course, he still hosts the Bungie Twitch streams. And he’s still the voice of Bungie at Gameshows, and game journalists. It’s gonna be weird without him. Deej has a very likeable Everyman quality about him, which made him the perfect guy to interact with the Destiny playerbase. Off the top of my head, I can’t think of anyone else at Bungie that is a comfortable, on camera, or interacting with media as him.
