Day 3: Off-Duty Parth and his Ghost, Dusk, would often come to the Last City of Humanity for a stroll through the streets. Sometimes Parth would keep himself concealed due to his reputation. Sometimes he would just dress casual just to feel relaxed like how he was when he was before becoming a Guardian. Often look up towards the Traveler thinking about purpose. About why he was chosen. Sure he remembered when he fought, reckless or not, but he often wonders why someone with a bad rep would be chosen by the Traveler. To him, it's how most humans today have the rare trait to one another. And it's to defend without a second thought. It's how most are taught whether they grab hold of it or not. Today, Parth just decided to travel with Dusk mainly to wonder the streets, exposed. Some of the people pass their eyes. Some amazed. Some frightened. After all, most of the people here do indeed come up to Parth and ask him for a task and he never minds at all. It didn't take long until Parth finally stops at a small café. If anything, he just wants to relax once in a while. He sat down, took out a book and ordered a caramel flavored cup of coffee. Some of the people never figured that he was a reader, but this is one of his rarest opportunities as Parth explained to the waitress when he recognized her when she asked for a job. A small world, he always quotes. For now, both the waitress goes back to work after delivering the coffee and Parth starts to read what he borrowed from the library. While Dusk lays on his back to relax as Parth insisted. After all, every Guardian and even their Ghost deserves a relaxing day off once in a while.
