Low FPS on high end AMD GPU ? 5700xt vs 1660s with R5 2600
Hi, I'm playing Destiny for a long time. I upgraded from GTX 1060 to a 5700XT a few months ago and I got a nice boost in fps and quality. But now I stumbled upon a guy with 1660s and the same CPU as me hitting more fps on highest settings. I always thought that my 2600 was the problem here and was prepared to upgrade to 4xxx line when it comes out, but now Im just confused.
specs: R5 2600 @ stockGigabyte OC 5700XT @ auto undervoltAsRock B450m PRO416GB dual channel HyperX @ 2666MHz1080p LG VSync monitor (VSync off tho) via DPEverything cooled properly without throtteling.
GPU drivers 20.7.2 (latest)latest chipset drivers and mobo driversWin 10 with 2004 update.

1 AntwortenYou've got Windows 10 ver. 2004, so you can also try the 20.5.1 HWS drivers, and turn Hardware Scheduling on (need a reboot) in Windows. Then, you can also open the Adrenalin drivers, go to Perfomance>Tuning and set a mininimum freq etc so you'll make sure that your card doesn't go into power saving mode.

1 AntwortenDid you uninstall the Nvidia drivers or use DDU before installing the 5700? Sometimes you can have issues by not doing that. Otherwise you may need to play with the Radeon drivers and see what you can do. It also seems like Destiny just flat out runs worse on AMD/Radeon systems.
