The Mountaintop will still be a problem after SS... so just take most ammo from his reserves and leave the rest as it is.
So someone at bungie decided to create a legendary that outclasses every special ammo weapon with a long quest so anyone that gets it feels so entitled, that use it everywhere at the minimum requirement of skill, basically a special rocket launcher.
But is fun and after sunset should remain the same, but it will still be busted in crucible cheap as always and gambit (does bungie even remember gambit ) as stacked teams can use it as a primary to clean fast and easy so what to do ?.
Simple, treat it as a rocket launcher, cut his reserves to 5-7 and adjust the special ammo economy accordingly to make up for his absurd power, so only spawns with a single grenade in crucible and in gambit can´t be used as frequently for add clearing and damage ( realy ! 9 shots per brick is ballaced ? ), you want to use something more reliable in ammo, use a special that fits the situation or learn to use a truth teller, not as powerful even at god rolls but 22 reserve grenades.
So this is my opinion, change something or get ready for years of complaining from people that don't have it / is sick of using it, or the classical, Bungie hasn't made a better, easier, broken gun…. seriously the guy that made it is not the same who did the armor lock ?

It can stay. The only slight tweak I'd make to it is up the impact damage and reduce the explosive potency. Let it still one hit kill for a direct impact, but knock the explosive damage down so it can't be spammed randomly for easy sidearm clean ups. Makes it more rewarding for better players/aim, but doesn't nerf it into the ground

Sounds like someone is mad they didn't get mountain top. Personally I'd rather die by mountain top than someone slide shotgunning with Felwinters. Mountain top took time and skill to get. Also you must not have played during the Luna/NF plague.

Just make all pinnicals exotics.. fixes so many problems without altering the functionality of the weapons.

It's literally only a problem because it travels in a straight line, which is funny because that's really what carries its usability. If it was just a norm arc-based grenade launcher, it would be a piece of crap just like the rest of them. Just let it go, they can't do anything to it without completely changing or ruining it. Who cares if people complain. I'd rather revoker die than mountain top, because it's not rewarding you for sucking.

I hardly see it in PVP. I stopped using it after i got the kills triumph. I see a mixture of shotguns, snipers, arbalest, fusion rifles, the occasional MT, but usually no other GL. Its usually in my load out in PVE content, I'll miss you MT, RIP.

In my opinion that thing should have been an exotic, and that goes for all the pinnacle weapons. I say if they want to make a weapon like this that just flat out overpowered, it should be an exotic.
