50 power levels each season is not a fun grind
Bungie needs to stop just adding 50 power levels every season to give the hardcore players something to grind. It’s not a fun experience for anyone it’s just incredibly time consuming. Even though I have hundreds of hours into the game as a casual player I still never get to experience the end game because as soon as I get near the power level for those activities the next season begins and I have to start all over again.
In destiny 1 the endgame only truly began once you reached the power cap and then there was a host of things to do. The light cap only increased a fraction of what it does in D2 and I preferred it so much more. It made it so levelling up was something to look forward to and not just another chore. Please Bungie only give maybe a 10 power increase each season and make content about enjoying those challenging activities and not about grinding through the same playlists over and over.

3 AntwortenIt's so easy though. I just play content I would already be playing. I don't think it's a big deal. the tough part is the last 10 levels, pinnacle only, but with the artifact, it doesn't even matter.

If they kept the game the same but only made us go up 10 or so power levels, people would basically be forced to run only pinnacle activities by week 3 of the season. I'd be sorta down with this- but in the long run casuals who hate pinnacle activities would drop out ASAP and hardcores would run out of reasons to play shortly after. If I were to have it my way- I'd completely get rid of standard weekly rewards from specific sources and convert all tbose drops into more weekly prime engrams. This way players could play the game HOWEVER they like and level. Then leave Pinnacle/end-game activities as your source of SPECIFIC sources of weekly drops, and maybe add whatever single seasonal activity they create as a weekly pinnacle source for more casual players to have real incentive to do em.

I agree. This and the upcoming sunsetting of all of my favorite weapons has really sapped my overall excitement. Don’t get me wrong, I’m still playing and at a good pace but I’m no longer farming for anything. It’s not worth grinding all season for power that never actually makes you feel like your efforts were worth it (since you still get melted by regular adds in higher end content, regardless of your power) and chasing after “god rolls” seems pointless knowing they’ll just get rendered all but useless in the near future. -
Now every1 is doing the forge afk farm. That just says it all about how they feel about the constant grind.

doing limited milestones that are not fun sucks, D1 had a perfect system, you could get to max Light just by playing pvp, doing strikes or just patrol and you were able to chose what loot you get, in D2 it's all random. Powerful Drops SHOULD NEVER BE RNG, getting 4 Chest pieces in a row DOES NOT HELP WHEN ALL I NEED IS A HEAVY WEAPON.

Agree, missed last season as was burnt out / fed up with fomo. Came back yesterday to check out new season , after 1st mission was back into the public event cycle to raise power level, was thinking why did I bother to download 100gb game again
