Neither celestial fire or ball lightning count as melees, yet I distinctly remember back in year 1 or 2 I could use the melee button with the stormtrance super, and it counted as melee progress for something, so I don't get it. As for the whole "bungie face palming warlocks" I don't necessarily agree. Warlocks have been vital to pve content, and have had a strong presence in basically every game mode. They do tend to fall behind in pvp however, but not to the point where I feel particularly butthurt about anything. The warlock arsenal seems catered to grenades, which is fine, but I would like space wizards to be able to actually make use out of magic missile melees, considering we keep getting exotics that tailor to said melees.
